Commercial Description:
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

Bottle pours a hazy golden orange with a large foamy white head that laced. Aroma of lemon, banana, light clove, wheat and some light metallic or sulfur from the aroma (but not really in a bad way, give it a true hefe quality). Flavor of the same. Banana and wheat is more pronounced innthe flavor. Excellent hefe.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into a nonic pint. Appearance: Straw colored, hazy with a 1" head that quickly goes down to a film. Not a resilient head. Smell: Fruity familiar hefe smell with a yeast background, a hint of banana and yogurt. I can smell what resembles the smell of rubber balloons also, but not in a bad way. Taste: Banana, tangy lemon zest with some vanilla yogurt and spice sneaking in too. Very slightly bitter at the end - just enough to give it a nice smack. Mouthfeel: Creamy texture that is quite smooth going down. Plenty enough carbonation. Medium body to it. Drinkability: A true guzzler. This is the perfect drink for any hot day when you want something refreshing and not filling. Scores a perfect 10 on the refresh-o-meter. Not sweet and syrupy - just right. Comments: Every quaff made me want to come back for more. I think it measures up against any German hefeweizen. The best part about it is that it’s far more readily available, fresher, and cheaper than imported hefe’s. This is my idea of an everyday beer. Perfect also for someone wanting to try their first craft beer or hefeweizen. A good beer for those who don’t like beer.

Cloudy golden color with a fluffy white head. Delicate sweet aroma of spice with some banana and wheat. Bread and light fruit dominates the flavor with a light citrus bitterness on the finish. Nicely refreshing and easy to enjoy.

Bottle from Utobeer. Hazy gold in colour. Light aroma of bubble gum and cloves, with some grainy cereals and yeast. Flavour had more of the same, with a light citrus edge and a touch of banana in the finish. Ok.
