Delicious. I happen to be brewing a GernanHef right now and I hope it turns out something like this.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2009 Bottle. Poured with a bright yellow color but completely opaque and hazy, with a gigantic head. The aroma is classic Germany -- banana and yeast. It drinks with the same classical characteristics, quite effervescent and tangy on the palate. A delicious hefeweizen! (#3600, 11 July 2009)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a nice cloudy golden color with a very large frothy head. Aroma of banana, cloves, and wheat. Flavor is very nice: banana and wheat dominate, but the spice is also present. Very nice medium bodied hefe. And at the price they are charging for it, it is sure to be a summer staple of mine.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy yellow pour with nice white head. Lemon and clove all over the nose. Flavor is banana with lemon zest and spice. Nice bite of yeast as well that round out a great texture. Not a style that I tend to grab, but this is good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very tasty but a little bit too far to the banana/pear side of the spectrum as opposed to the clove/yeastiness extreme, which I tend to prefer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice aroma of wheat, banana, clove, and yeast. Pours a cloudy light yellow, with a huge fluffy white head. Nice crisp flavor, a bit of hop bitterness seems to pop out in the middle. Finishes long and clean. Light on the palate, and amazingly refreshing. I may have found a new favorite summer beer.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is one of the best hefe’s I have ever laid my lips on. The beer starts with an opaque dark golden color with an extremely hazy and cloudy body. The head is huge, generous and bright white. It leaves a great amount of lacing around the glass. The nose is inticing and inviting, with notes of bubble gum, banana, cloves and spices. The body is thick and deep, but extrememly smooth and drinkable. The flavors are quite complex for a hefeweizen, with big notes of bubble gum, cloves, spices, banana, bread and yeast. The finish was a little spicy with a little more bubble gum flavor. This is definitely a top-notch hefe; one of the best.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at VB throwdown. Cloudy orange body. Smells bananay(not really sure that that is a word) and yeasty and cloves. Has a very smooth malty flavor along with candy sugar and the cloves. Pretty nice.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I am rather picky about my Hefes, but let me tell you, this is a well-done hefeweizen. If you disagree, you are a fucktard. Pours a hazy orange amber with a white head. The aroma is not quite as assertive as good German imports, but it has a nice nose of yeast and banana esters. The unfiltered body is light to medium, refreshing without being watery. Flavor of pale wheat malts, with the phenols of banana, bubblegum, and clove all melded to create a nice balance. Moderate attenuation. Clove becomes more pronounced on the finish with perhaps a small hint of European hops. I like this beer better without the yeast in the pour, which is not normal for me. I think it ruins the finish on this one. Great beer, but not the perfect Hefe for me.My ideal Hefe would have just a bit more body, bubblegum, and sweetness. However, I will be buying more of this because it’s priced just right, fresh, and in 12 ounce bottles.
