3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear gold color with a medium head. Nice aroma of just over-ripened bananas. Same strong banana flavor, lots of wheat. The cloves donít come out much. Almost lemony at the finish. Really solid.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, courtesy Narnad. Moderately hazy yellow-orange with a small, bright white head thatís mostly diminishing. Clove and banana nose with underlying tangy wheat and a touch of lemon. Mildly yeasty/doughy flavor, wheat tanginess rather high with mild-to-moderate sour lemon/peach fruit highlights. Finish is dry and tangy. Solid, but I wasnít wowed.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2015 Have been waiting for this for a month and had to come all the way out to New Jersey for a bottle. Big estery nose on cap open, heavy banana and wheat, lighter cloves. Lemon-citrus and yeast. Pale yellow with a large, creamy white head that clings and laces well. Body is thin and mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, seemingly no carbonation despite the large head. Watery banana and lemon, but theyíre right, there is some complexity here, with a touch of spice and bitter pretzel. Pale malt and strengthening clove. The complexity is not quite as advertised, but this is sweet and ridiculously repeatable - easy to down a pitcher or two every night. [2009.08.19: 3.3]
Iíve had about three cases of this over the years and still enjoy it. I want to like it more than I do; I recognize the German yeast strain (and props for using it!), I recognize the house character, and I like the slightly tart and grainy character. But the yeast puts out a bit too much sulfur for me as used, and the bubblegum-leaning phenols donít mesh with the frequent slime. [2015.05.03: 3.3]

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A cloudy pour that reminds us of this beer being unfiltered. There is a bit of head on this one, about one finger. On the aroma, there is a fair amount of bananbread and cloves. Definitely a hefeweizen. On the initial flavor all of these aromas come through, but the body is also a bit fuller which whirls these flavors around for a bit of complexity. Though the fruit-like flavors from a typical hefeweizen are present they are a bit more muted and donít jump out quite as much as in a typical wheat beer. Overall, I would say this is a great beer for the summer but in general a good wheat beer if you donít want something that is too light (definitely no lemon to be served with this one).

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours cloudy with half an inch of head. Medium bodied. On the aroma I get bread, banana, cloves and a couple of other subtle fruit nuances. On the palate I am getting bread, banana, some cloves, spice and candied fruits as well. Great beer for the summer!

bottle 355 ml
Appearance: thick murky amber , mid top 3+
Nose: Fresh , sweet-sour weizen character , grainy fresh weizen nose. Sweet finish. 7+
Flavor/Palate : Soft bodied , clean velvet like texture. Drinkable wheat ale , perhaps not 100 % in Weizen style but well rounded and super drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with an average, frothy white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, straw, hay, meal), light hop (grass), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of pear, banana, and dust. Light bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Short duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a big sudsy white head that slowly fades to a fine film. The nose is strong with spices: white pepper, cloves and maybe some cinnamon. Not much fruit in the aroma, just spices. The taste has a good fruit profile with banana, pears and melons set in a spicy (mostly clove) malt backdrop. The palate is silky smooth, though a bit thin, with prickly carbonation. The finish is long with lingering cloves. This is a very tasty hefe, but I think that they were a bit heavy handed with the clove.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle from Bubbles Liquor World. Pours hazy pale yellow gold with small white head. Aroma smells like banana laffy taffys. Lots of banana, clove and spices. Flavor is banana, clove, grain and some spices. Really tasty hefe. Smooth and refreshing and perfect mouthfeel. I thought I was not going to like this based on style and initial aroma but I would go out and buy a six pack of this.
