3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a cloudy gold with decent head that laces nicely. Aromas of yeast clove, little banana. Flavors of yeast, clove, little banana with an added spiciness. Tastes pretty authentic to the Bavarian style, I was impressed as it didn’t have the nevada taste that is in every nevada beer - very light if any, true to the style. But still over rated in my opinion

Bottle. Well done hefe. Not as good as a fresh German Hefe a la Maisel but better than most German Hefes that arrive here somewhat aged. Nice aromas of yeast and clove, good flavor profile of spicness and banana.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2010 Just a great beer. One that makes me revist my top hefes list and realize the top 5 are from 02/03. Mmm, those need revisiting because this assumes the place of those newbie hefes. Very real banana presence here in the aroma, just lovely, conditioned so finely you may expect weird dusty rem-NANTs in the head. Aroma of cloves is next, layered in there with the waves of sweet, well-ripened banana. The cloves are dusty and dry. Some slight bubblegum, pure sugar sweetness in the aroma. The flavor is tangy, soft bread bubblegum sweetness, and a bit of lactic and even citric flavors. Well put together and highly drinkable - this is a fresh palate beer to start your day. So easy to enjoy. So many of SNs beers are just SO SOLIDLY MADE.
In answer to questioners about the quality vs. New Glarus, well, I haven’t had Dancing Man Wheat, but this is a very favorable comparison to my two favorite NG wheats; Black Wheat and Solstice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty delicious rendition of some of the better Bavarian style hefs out there. A little dryer, but nice and tasty all the same. I did notice a little musky flavor as it warmed up a little, but that’ll teach me to stop drinking mid beer and eat food!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Soft, funky, wheat beer aroma - a little banana. Fairly foggy, honey gold. Decent label. Clean drinking, nicely mouthy, dry and starchy. Lightly toasted and bready. A cohesive brew. Beats the Smuttynose Weizen handily in back-to-back consumption.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The aroma is right on for the style. It’s got malt, bananas, cloves, and bubble gum. The appearance is cloudy gold with a large head that leaves nice lacing. The flavor is like the aroma with a watery finish. The palate is smooth but thin enough to be refreshing. Overall a very good session beer that ends pretty clean and slightly fruity. It starts off stronger than it finishes.

Bottle. Poured hazy orange yellow with thick white head. Aroma of citrus, banana and something else unknown. Mild wheaty and clovy flavour, with bit of banana. Not much finish, just sort of drops off the table.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
hazy straw colored with nice white head. Banana esters. Spicy, clovish like a Bavarian wheat but there is something just a bit off in the finish, it’s a bit harsh. Could it be the hops? Starts off with promise but fails in the end.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. Hazy golden color with a nice pillowy head. Maybe not as glorious as the German hefes but still nice-looking. Aroma is strong bananas and bubblegum with mealy wheat malt and cloves. Flavor is nice and complex. Banana pith, vanilla, cloves, light lemony note, bread dough, and a bit of bubblegum. Smooth creamy body that feels very authentic going down. Easily the best American hefe I’ve had.

A pretty nice brew from SN: Pours a cloudy golden colour with a large fluffy white head. ORange peel, Yeast and some coriander on the nose. Taste was really pleasent. A super refreshing Hefe with a creamy citrusy texture. A winner for sure, i will be buying this all summer long. :)
