COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

Reminds me of homebrew. Well balanced, good wheatiness, some banana, light clove. Bit thin in finish. Moderate sweetness with hint of sourness and light bitterness in finish. Drinkable, but cant find any reason to buy it again

Cervesa correcte, és dolça i fàcil de beure, destaca el toc a plàtan tant en gust com en aroma. Cerveza correcta, es dulce y fácil de beber, destaca el toque a plátano tanto en sabor como en aroma.

Pours a cloudy yellow on tap with big fluffy white head that leaves good lace. Aroma of banana and spicy clove esters you expect from a German wheat. Taste follows, clean and well done for the style.

Tried at Craft Beer Market YEG. Sierra Nevada tap takeover Nov 18. Nice aroma of spices and wheat. Flavour follows up. Nice well balanced flavour profile. Candied bananas, cloves, allspice, zest, grassiness, etc.

Bottled 06/15. So quite old. Pours hazy yellow, small white head. Aroma is banana, clove, esters, mild sour note? Flavor is banana, clove, bubblegum, estery, maybe phenolic? I wanna say a little bit of pear. Solid for a heff.

Bottle. Cloudy golden body, head is lower than average for the style, does not stay for long. Aroma has banana and some crisp hops. Smooth wheaty taste with banana. Pretty clean and classic taste. However, it’s pretty expensive here (3,5 EUR) while all the classic German ones are way more affordable. There are even some discounter German Hefeweizens that cost less than 70 cents per 500 ml and taste surprisingly decent, so in terms of value it just doesn’t compete with anything in these areas.

Botella. Bastante buena.

- N: yeast bun; faint ripe banana skin; faint seville orange. - B: Butter-y, like a Leibnitz biscuit. - F: Short finish – ginger-y finish (like Badger Beer’s ‘Blandford Flyer’) Quite orange-y, ginger-y and butter-y for a Hefe – SN putting their hoppy touches on the style. Bit thin later.

Aroma is sweet grain, banana, straw, and clove. Taste is sweet and quite light. Finishes smoothly but not very complex, kind of disappointing. Appearance is a hazy gold with a fluffy pillow head that retains quite well.

Bottle. Cloudy dark yellow with small foamy white head, doughy aroma with a hint of honey, medium carbonation, citrus flavored faintly bitter taste, medium finish with very little citrus peel aftertaste. Nice but not spectacular.
