COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

Pen & Paper Log (Mar 2011) Aroma - some banana esters and that classic yeasty malt nose, but with some floral notes as well. Appearance - hazy orange-gold with a hint white head, not as impressive as other Hefe’s Taste - it’s got a bit of that banana and bubblegum, some wheat as well of course and yeast. Palate - the body is light to medium, texture was wheat somewhat thin, the carbonation was soft and appropriate, finish was short.

Good hefe but no distinct flavor of banana or cloves or bubblegum. Some citrus. Refreshing with just the relight carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Served in a pint glass. Pretty damn good hefeweizen - better and more flavourful than your average wheat beer.

Pours a cloudy light golden colour with a big soapy head that looks like a hefeweizen should look like. Good aroma of hay, bread, dough, spruce and some spices. Flavour is much alike, good balance. Not too sweet, Nd good carbonation, which makes it really refreshing! A really good hefeweizen indeed!

Bottle - Hazy golden pour with a thin foamy white head. Nose is all bananas and bubble gum, light clove, and sweet wheat. Classic hefe. Taste is sweet banana and bubble gum with minimal spicing and subdued sweetness. A bit of mineral with some sweet wheat. Thick and slick with medium carbonation. Very good--world class. Love the 4.8% though...could session this sucker.

I like it. I would get it pregnant. If you know what i mean. If you dare disagree, i fight you. Challenger, come forth.

Pours attractively, with a very hazy yellow and a big white head. The aroma is very bready and dry, and the flavor is subtle, with banana and yeasty qualities. I found it to be a little thin or flat at times, esp. the mid-palate. But it finishes long. Decent. Bottle.
