COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

A pretty standard hefeweizen. Smells a bit skunky when poured. Finish is a little more bitter than I normally like in this category.

Pretty much spot on hefeweizen. Toasted wheat, toasted malt, banana, clove, yeast and spice. Pours a hazy dark yellow. Medium mouth, a bit svelt.

Kellerweis is a wonderful beer. I found it to be very complex and has a nice golden appearance. It is interesting because it is a bit cloudy.

12 oz. bottle from Best Damn Beer Shop. Nose of yeast subtle spices and hay. Gentle Belgian spice overtone (citrus, coriander and cloves) is almost understated against a bready wheat malt base for a light and very creamy hefe. All the way to the dry finish it’s never over the top. Exceptionally smooth, balanced, tasty and drinkable.
