COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

Pours a very cloudy golden-yellow with a thin frothy white head. Aroma is slightly nutty, banana bread, clove, and coriander. A quick whiff is like a piece of banana nut bread that just came out of the oven. Flavor is exactly what you’d expect from the aroma. Slightly spicey start fades into a banana nut bread flavor, with a long sweet malty finish. Absolutely delicious. Medium bodied, with perfect carbonation make give it a full feel yet still crisp and refreshing. Overall this is an excellent Hefeweizen.

Pours a beautiful hazy orangish gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of wheat, cloves, bananas in a delicate balance with a hint of sourness in the background. Taste is spicy wheat, cloves phenols and banana esthers, light bubblegum and a complex sourness from the wheat. Excellent American hefeweizen!

pours a murky gold with a decent white whispy lacing head. Aroma is slight hay and good skunk. Tastes bright, full, with a hint of clove or coriander. The spice is still present in the pleasant lingering finish. I really like this beer.

Great yeast aroma. Creamy banana dominates with some clove, but overall not a bitey yeast. Full body. Refreshing light citrus. Raw grain. Nicely balanced, calm and well executed. Drinkable and approachable.

Lustrous golden yellow. Quickly dissipating head. Wonderful scents of banana, yeast, marshmallows, and mild citrus. Slightly lighter and more refreshing than a stereotypical hefe. Incredible flavour. Banana dominates, but a smooth combination of yeast, cream, and citrus is present as well. Mildly hoppy finish. Wonderfully flavourful easy drinking hefe.

On tap. Ours a cloudy gold/Amber with moderate foamy head. Aromas of dusty malts, bananas and toast. Flavors are similar with creamy banana and earthy wheat. Full.

Lively, hazy yellow beer with a frothy head with a floral banana smell to it. Flavour has a heavy dose of banana in there too. Sweet and bitter is well-balanced. It’s not anything you wouldn’t expect from the style but it’s mellow, very drinkable and very well done.

Bottle. Aroma distinctive weizeny clove, spiciness, lemony. Hazy yellow colour. Taste is also rather at the spicy-clove-lemony side, a bit drier and thinner than some other weizens, with a very light soury-spicy twist in flavour. Really good.

From 0,355l bottle, BBD: 17/02/15 Pours deep hazy straw to golden liquid, medium white frothy head, fell down quickly, Aroma: banana, floral, wheat, lemon, Taste: medium sweet, light bitter, light to medium sour, wheat, banana, sweet notes, clove, lemon, Palate: light to medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation, long sweet fruity finish, Overall: very surprising interpretation of the original german hefeweizen style, lighter body, lower carbonation, after banana dominates other fruity and floral notes typique for west coast craft breweries, very drinkable piece. Pity of the absent head - fell down quickly and perhaps even more floral notes in the taste.

On tap at Royal Oak Beer Fest. Beautiful cloudy blonde. Creamy mouthfeel. Well balanced notes of wheat and yeasty banana.
