Commercial Description:
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

This could very well be my favorite hefeweizen I’ve ever had. Pours a golden haze into the glass with a white head. Lots of notes of clove and banana on this one. Nice crisp flavor with bread/bakery feel to it. Finish is very refreshing. Fantastic hefe. Definitely give this one a try.

Served in a 12 oz bottle. Aroma- clove nose, phenolic, notes of citrus. very pleasant. Appearance- golden yellow color, bright white head. Taste- very good! great blend of clove flavors, with banana, hints of vanilla. very smooth and drinkable. nice carbonation gives it a light body. Palate- light body, lively carbonation. slight sourness in the finish. Overall, a great beer on a warm summer’s eve. would go great with fish, fruity foods. a very good american version of the style.

am in a phase of my beer adventures where I don’t buy the same beer twice when I go to the beer store... I have bought a six pack of this beer 4 times already. This is the beer that should restore our faith that american brewers can make hefe’s. This was stunning.... Smells of clove and banana. Pours a very cloudy dark yellow with a fantastic white head. Simply the best medium body and carbonation of any session summer ale I have had. Crisp and clean on every sip or guzzle. Flavor was mild and sweet with spice and banana. Quite Herby and spice and delicious.. I hope this is a year round product from SN

This is one of the best hefe’s I have ever laid my lips on. The beer starts with an opaque dark golden color with an extremely hazy and cloudy body. The head is huge, generous and bright white. It leaves a great amount of lacing around the glass. The nose is inticing and inviting, with notes of bubble gum, banana, cloves and spices. The body is thick and deep, but extrememly smooth and drinkable. The flavors are quite complex for a hefeweizen, with big notes of bubble gum, cloves, spices, banana, bread and yeast. The finish was a little spicy with a little more bubble gum flavor. This is definitely a top-notch hefe; one of the best.

Beautiful deep creamy head, golden color. intense aroma of citrus, lemony zest. Sweet creamy mouthfeel. Malt notes creeps by light crispness of the hops and wheat. Yes you have the typical banana notes but the fruit notes are kept at a minimum.Would go great with a peach cobbler or apple pie. Could this be my favorite new hefe.
