COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

Bottel@home. Pours cloudy gold color with a smaal white head. The aroma has notes of grass, ripe banana. Flavor is sweet, spicy and crispy at the same time, reminds me of a slightly oxidised beer. Also notes of dough and yeast. The mouthfeel is very crisp on the tongue, with a long finish. Ok Hefeweizen

Draft pour at special brews. Poured appropriately into its own individual glassware. Always a good start. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a huge foamy head. Kind of an odd wet dog like aroma. Wish I was kidding. Well, it’s different. I’ll put it that way. Flavor is dry, mild, and mostly empty. The most flavor comes in centuries into the late palate (exaggeration). Soft grains, and mild fruit. Weird beer for me, but what do I know. Not so much for me.

It's good not great. A nice hefe. I'd drink it again but not a style I usually seek out ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Doesn’t smell like a hefeweizen, i get spice and fruit. Appearance- A slightly murky golden color with a small white head. Doesn’t look like a hefeweizen. Taste- Has a nice semi-tart flavor but doesn’t even come close to a hefeweizen stle beer in the flavor department. Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall- Not a bad beer but it is not in the flavor category of a hefeweizen.

Bottle. Nose is cloves, banana, orange, barley (odd), slight wheat. Taste is malt, banana, slight clove, wheat, the strange orange note, leading to a surprisingly bitter note, and a dry yeasty spiced finish. Mouthfeel is too carbonated. This didn’t have the right taste profile for a hefeweizen (though it’s a style in which I am only a dabbler in), and was a bit bland.

12 oz bottle, poured into a snifter at 40 degrees F. Appearance: Pours a hazy straw gold, with a thick white head with decent retention. Smell: Floral and citrus, which is not at all what one wants to smell from a hefeweizen. Taste: And as the smell indicates, my Wall O Hop sensitivity strikes. This tastes like compost pile runoff, no other flavors perceptible. Mouthfeel: Light and effervescent. Overall: This is in keeping with every Sierra Nevada experience I have had, with the exceptions of Narwhal and Tumbler. Please discontinue this. It is emphatically not an actual hefeweizen.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale golden with a white top. Nice aroma of wheat, banana-esters, dough and pale malts. Taste is lightly sweet at first but with a very well balanced finish. Light pungent notes from the wheat and a very subtle bitterness. Fairly light bodied and drinkable. A fine hefeweizen on the lower abv-scale.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy gold with white head. Aroma is grass, grains, yeast, herbally and floral with some sweet fruity notes. Taste is moderately sweet with flavors or banana, bubblegum, yeast, wheat, floral. Pretty good hefeweizen but not quite as good as some of the best german hefeweizens. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Irregular, just off-white head over lively carbonated unclear yellow to orange-golden beer. Clove, allspice, Jamaican pepper, other spices; some faint banana and citrus. Dry-spicy (nutmeg too?), light bitterish onset but then converting to light acidic wheat and fruitesters, fusels. Very carbonated; light to medium bodied, faint wheatslickness, refreshing. Nothing but very classical Hefeweizen - maybe a bit lighter MF.

Bue en bouteille de 35.5cl, couleur blanche-blonde trouble, mousse épaisse et bonne effervescence, une bière avec les goût de malabar et de banane continuité sur le pain blanc et fin de bouche sur une pointe d’acidité.
