Tap @ Sierra NC. Hazy orangey gold with thick head. Smells citrusy and spicy. Tastes dry and floral with a hint of spice. Heavy feeling.

En Kellerweise en härlig vårkollektion är svårslagen, dricker den i trädgården medan jag väntar på att grillen ska få den rätta glöden.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not quite clear gold with a fizzy head that fades away to nothing. Sweet wheat aroma with a bit of banana. Taste is similar but weaker with yeast and citrus.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy golden color with big off-white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is yeasty, witty and bready, with banana and a little hint of spices. Taste follows the aroma, with banana, bread and a little bit of clove as well. Sweet finish. Good reproduction of the style, but there are a lot better Hefeweizens on the market.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft pour at special brews. Poured appropriately into its own individual glassware. Always a good start. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a huge foamy head. Kind of an odd wet dog like aroma. Wish I was kidding. Well, it’s different. I’ll put it that way. Flavor is dry, mild, and mostly empty. The most flavor comes in centuries into the late palate (exaggeration). Soft grains, and mild fruit. Weird beer for me, but what do I know. Not so much for me.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Doesn’t smell like a hefeweizen, i get spice and fruit.
Appearance- A slightly murky golden color with a small white head. Doesn’t look like a hefeweizen.
Taste- Has a nice semi-tart flavor but doesn’t even come close to a hefeweizen stle beer in the flavor department.
Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall- Not a bad beer but it is not in the flavor category of a hefeweizen.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Nose is cloves, banana, orange, barley (odd), slight wheat. Taste is malt, banana, slight clove, wheat, the strange orange note, leading to a surprisingly bitter note, and a dry yeasty spiced finish. Mouthfeel is too carbonated.
This didn’t have the right taste profile for a hefeweizen (though it’s a style in which I am only a dabbler in), and was a bit bland.

1.3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
12 oz bottle, poured into a snifter at 40 degrees F.
Appearance: Pours a hazy straw gold, with a thick white head with decent retention.
Smell: Floral and citrus, which is not at all what one wants to smell from a hefeweizen.
Taste: And as the smell indicates, my Wall O Hop sensitivity strikes. This tastes like compost pile runoff, no other flavors perceptible.
Mouthfeel: Light and effervescent.
Overall: This is in keeping with every Sierra Nevada experience I have had, with the exceptions of Narwhal and Tumbler. Please discontinue this. It is emphatically not an actual hefeweizen.
