COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kellerweis is one of the only American Hefeweizens made using the traditional Bavarian style of open fermentation. This difficult and labor-intensive technique adds uncommon depth and flavor complexity. Our hazy-golden hefeweizen is deeply flavorful, refreshing and perfect for a sunny day. To serve, pour two-thirds into a glass, swirl and pour the rest.

Ahhh... finally got my hands on some kellerweis. This was sold out at all the stores around here but I finally found some and picked up two six packs. Much better than other hefe’s I have had. A little foamy but in a good way. I love how the taste is nice and balanced and not overpowered by bananas. This one doesn’t taste like babyfood as some of the other Hefe’s can. Nice spices, wheat, lemon zest and banana. Great summer beer for the BBQ.

12 ounce bottle pouring into glass. Has thick head with nice lacing. A light amber color and then unfiltered look. Lots of sweet fruity notes like banana. Slight bitterness towards end of swallow but then disappears and leaves sweet finish. A very nice beer.

Yellow orange, hazy, thin white head
Aroma - soft banana, light spicy, slightly metallic, light aroma
Taste - Soft spicy, light bubble gum, bit aromatic, came across as an ordinary Hefeweizen
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, fairly sweet palate
Overall - Not one of the best Hefeweizens I’ve had. Some good beers on the day and this one was a bit meh.

Bottle from Highland Package. Transparent gold with white head. Aroma of clover and hops. Taste of banana and malt. Smooth light-bodied aftertaste. Pretty good.

This is a really citrusy Hefeweizen! The aroma is excellent with citrus notes, wheat, and faint bubble gum. Taste is similar light citrusy flavor, with wheat, and faint bubble gum notes at the end. The finish is a little sticky sweet that lingers a bit. Eat something salt with this to cut that and you be just fine dude.

Hefeweizen used to be my favorite type, but I’ve moved to darker beers. Poured into a frosty mug. Good head, cloudy amber, slightly more bitter than normal, wheat and grass.

Best American made Hefeweizen by far. It actually tastes like a real German Hefeweizen, comparable to Weihenstefan.

Cerveja de coloração amarelo ouro, boa formação de espuma e boa persistência. Bem condimentada, fermento e pão.

Pours a very cloudy golden-yellow with a thin frothy white head. Aroma is slightly nutty, banana bread, clove, and coriander. A quick whiff is like a piece of banana nut bread that just came out of the oven. Flavor is exactly what you’d expect from the aroma. Slightly spicey start fades into a banana nut bread flavor, with a long sweet malty finish. Absolutely delicious. Medium bodied, with perfect carbonation make give it a full feel yet still crisp and refreshing. Overall this is an excellent Hefeweizen.
