Keg dispense at Against the Grain, Dublin. Pours light slightly hazy straw colour with thin white head. Aroma muted but plenty of grain, quite fresh grassy/spruce notes too. Plenty of full grain flavour in the taste too; light hop bitterness, medium mouthfeel - less watery than expected. This is a tasty, fresh summer ale - not too much to shout about, but not bad at all.

On tap. Pours with a clear pale golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are bready and grainy. A nice and refined malt character. Clean ester wise with a low hop presence. Flavors are grainy, bready, clean and low herbal/grassy hop. Very light fruit. A bit low in body with moderately strong carbonation. Crisp. Well executed Kolsch!

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a light golden color with a lasting white head. The aroma is surprisingly lemony with a touch of grainy maltiness. Light notes of floral hops. The flavor has pilsner malts, floral bitterness and light hints of lemon. It’s pretty dry with lemony fruit. Light bodied and refreshing. Nothing wrong with this beer.

Draft @ SN. Clear straw color with a white head. Aroma is cereal, grainy malt with a light herbal hop presence. Flavor is mostly cereal malt with a clean bitterness and mild fruity esters. Light body with lively carbonation. Nice session beer, very refreshing.

Sampled on tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of dry grains and biscuity malts - nicely balanced and restrained. Nothing spectacular, but solidly brewed.

Pours clear pale yellow with a small snow white head. Looks very light.
The aroma is smooth and surprisingly weak, aromas of caramel and white syrup. The body is light and watery but with a large maltiness. Some bitterness towards the end. Overall very weak.

RBESG August 2011, White Horse on Parsons Green. Clear, pale golden with a small white head. Grainy malt aroma with a touch of DMS and a bit of fruit. Sweetish malty flavour with fruity notes. Very authentic

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of minerals, malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and lemons, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Clear medium golden yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, dry hay, toasted, light hoppy, hay - dry hay. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110805]
