P: Super black body with a glisten of mahogany at the bottom of the glass. A dollop of creamy espresso froth that dwindles to a bubbly crown. Retention is nice and leaves thick micro bubble lacing that sloshes around the edge. The melted Dutch chocolate ice cream like head never seems to leave. S: Rich roasty malts, bakers chocolate, burnt molasses, dark coffee beans, sawdust, sweet whisky mash, smoked grain and salted cashews. T/M: Sweet burnt molasses, milk and bitter chocolate, charred grains, dirty wood, spicy booze with earthy and pine resin hops in the background. Coffee, black pepper, and sweet figs round out the multitude of malty layers. Full creamy but oily body with spicy carbonation. O: A mystical adventure for your mouth. Super complex and ever changing this brew delivers amazing results. This is a beer of myth and legend that lives up to its magical name. Cheers!

12oz bottle. Pours super dark brown with ruby highlights, and a thick tan cap. Aroma of milk chocolate, nuts, a touch of vanilla, molasses, wood, and smoke. Taste is quite sweet but chased with a strong bitterness. Super smooth and long dry finish.

Pours pitch black with beautiful mocha head the fades quickly. Mild aroma, with a slight alcohol nose. Low carbonation. Well balanced flavor. Expected alcohol presence. Excellent stout!

Pours a thick dark black as youd exect, with a very foamy tan head. Smellslike a bottle of matt ant booze. But the tase is all smooth and cocoa. On the whole it’s a fairly clean Imperial Stout that’s actually kind of one dimensional in taste but none the less very good. I’d be very interested to taste it on Oak.

Small single finger head. No carbonation. Very little lacing that disappears almost immediately. Black as used motor oil. Smells of alcohol, dark roasted malts, vanilla, molasses, and cocoa. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, molasses, roasted malts, burnt wood, and alcohol. Some alcohol burn on the roof of the mouth and back of the tongue. Good Stout, but not quite outstanding.

Almost black. No head but medium carbonation and remaining laces. Chocolate aroma. Full bodied taste with coffee, chocolate, malt, licorice and little sweetness.

12 oz bottle. 32352. From bierzwerg.de.
Black colour... do I need to add something... The aroma is incredibly pleasant with biscuits, chocolate, sweetness, cocoa, and a lot of maltiness. Wow! The flavour is roasted malt, dry liquorice, ash, dryness, bitterness, alcohol burn... wow, this is incredible. Anyone who can get this beer... please get it! Absolutely a treat.

Love this brew. I have been waiting for an imperial stout from these guys for so long, and the fact they put it out in a 12oz is great. Sampled last year and then aged a few bottles and tried along the way. Great brew, malted and roasted well, totally enjoyable.

Bottle at The Ale House, Chelmsford. A slow sipping beer, that pours out black with a very small tan colour head. Roasted malt aroma, with chocolate and molasses. Very rich. Full bodied. Slick texture. Warming. Big in ABV and taste, no bitterness. Very nice.

Pitch black. Big brown head that quickly disappears. Aroma and taste of roasted malt and bread. A bit sweet. Medium body.
