Kolsvart ganska tjock med litet brunt skum! Mörkt kaffe och mörk choklad i både doft och smak! Ingen alkohol trots 10.2%

Poured from a bottle, very dark brown with almost no head. Smells of toffee and licorice with a bit of booze. Leads with a rich toasted, almost burnt sweet malt flavor followed by strong coffee and dark chocolate bitterness. Good mouthfeel. Finishes surprisingly dry. More complex and tasty than expected based on the nose. Quite good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - Black pour with a thin ring of tan head. Nose is dark malt and brown sugar, but when it warms up a bit the rubbing alcohol really comes out. Yuck. Taste is chocolatey and roasty, with light charcoal. Not too sweet, but there’s some vanilla and molasess. Thick and full bodied. I rarely find an imperial stout I like anymore. I thought this one would be different.

On tap at Broken Top Bottle Shop; beautifully dark, spicy, vanilla, some dark roasted cocoa-ness. Mouthfeel leaves little fireworks on the tongue.

Pours a deep black with a very small, filmy brown/tan head. Aroma has a lot of brown malt with light dark chocolate, mild dark roast coffee, light sweetness at the end melding with a modest amount of roasted malt character. Flavor starts off sweet of molassasses, light rum flavor but quickly moves into a bitter chocolate and dark fruity sweetness. Notes of anise, prune and raisin come through with a pronounced coffee ending. The body of the beer holds the flavors and there is a ton of residual sugar to aid in almost completely hiding the high alcohol present in this brew. Mouthfeel is superb with a well balanced mix of sharp, fine carbonation melding with an oily, sugary feeling beer. Overall a very well crafted beer thats impeccably balanced, creating a complex beer. I bought this as a single but will probably end up buying a six pack to age and see what happens to it as it ages.

A thick and creamy chocolate malt shake with a bit too much molasses for me.

On tap at the Red Hot. Opaque, dark tan head. Scent of dark chocolate and booze. Tastes the same, with a little smoke flavor. Good stuff.

Notes of roasted malt and some dark chocolate. Smooth on the palate with deep dark chocolate mixed in. Very warming alcohol on aftertaste. Worth trying other than that I don’t know how to compare as it is my first imperial stout.

(Backlog) 12 oz bottle. The look is dark, black in color, and decent tan head. The smell is dark dark chocolate, malt, roasty, deep, chalky, and cocoa. The taste is rich, chocolate, plums, roast, and malt.
