Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours black with a brown head. Nice drinkable stout, lots of licorice and some chcholate and citrusy hops.

Pours black and has a medium tan creamy head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, and wood. Taste was coffee and semi-sweet chocolate forward. I also got some wood with a sweet and smokiness on the tongue. Quite good and was also in the mix a 6 section so I won’t complain. Def full bodied and filling.

Flaska från SB. Svart med brun skumkrona. Smak av mörk choklad, kaffe, salmiak och lite portvin. Torr, syrlig och besk. Hade önskat lite mer sötma för en bättre balans.

Incredibly crushable imperial stout by Sierra Nevada. Tastes like roasted coffee, nuts, and smoke. Very bitter and coffee flavored finish. Black pour with a thick tan head. Had at home ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Heavy cocoa and roasted coffee aroma. Heavy black body with a tan foamy thin head. The first taste tells you it means business with it’s intensity. Roasted cocoa and coffee blast with a warming sensation as it goes down your throat reminds you that this is an imperial strength stout. Leaves with a dry clean finish and if you pay attention you’ll pick up the sweetness of molasses. Definitely a winter warmer type of brew.

Pitch ink-black. Beige head with big chunky bubbles, starts out thick but settles into creamy thinness. Smells like ash/tobacco, booze, an almost dusty attic, pepper, hint of potpourri. Tastes of burnt/roasted dark malt, dark chocolate, cheese/yeast, quite bitter, ends on a sour note. Body is smooth but thin, a bit of spice. Very big and interesting even if it might not be to my usual taste - lots of burnt ash and cheesy yeast, which is an unusual combination and slightly odd.

HKdIPA (300) - HONG KONG - DEC 5, 2014
Bottle from Citysuper at home. Thick black pour with brown edges and a dense tan head. Aroma is lots of malt, booze, leather, even a bit blue cheese-ish. Taste is very big, rich boozy and toasted malts. Slight bit of licorice but not bad. Very smooth. Finish is warming booze. Very solid but not outstanding stout.
