pretty amazing beer. probably the most full-bodied beer i’ve seen so far. The body is black as night with a dark brown head. aromas are fruity then piney, then as it opens up reveals more of the coffee honey maltiness.. taste is bitter- hoppy up front then long malts and a bit more bitterness on the back of the palate. i think the bitterness has a ’cleansing’ effect that makes the beer kind of, fall short. the flavours don’t linger.. i don’t love this beer but it is majorly impressive. i’d like to age one for a few years

This one poured a deep dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma was dark roasted malt, dark chcoolate, heavy smoke, and light metals. Flavor was ashy and smokey, followed by a light dark chocolate sweetness and dark roasted malts. Light alcohol and metal in the finish. Pretty solid IMpy.

Bottle [12oz]. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with an average size long-lasting frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, molasses, coffee and some hops. Roasty flavour with roasted malt and roasted coffee along with molasses, hops, honey and a big roasty bitter finish. Lots going on here. Alcohol is there but not 10.2%, it’s fairly well hidden, Medium bodied. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. A well-made, really enjoyable Impy Stout.

Genomsvart öl med brunt skum. Doftar kaffe, malt och kakao. Bra balans i smaken mellan malt- och alkoholsötma å ena sidan och bittrare rostade och kakaotoner.

Really a very approachable imperial stout. Dark as can be and lots of dark chocolate layed over dried fruit. Feels heavy in the nose but really goes down easy. Just the lightest booze tinges. Probably my last imperial stout for awhile.
