Bottle 2015. Pours dark black with little tan head. Heavy stout with big cocoa and coffee flavor. Filling but the big alcohol is not noticeable in the taste. Awesome imp stout.

Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted and coffee with hints of alcohol back there. Flavour is of the same but with some chocolate and vanilla as well. Nice bitter ending and a nice full body. Great beer!

Pitch black color. Big hoppy nose with citrus, dark fruit, roasted malt and cacao. Borderline Black IPA in the nose. The mouth is medium body, tons of cacao, dark fruit and citrus notes. Smooth. Slightly warming finish. Very rounded. Lingering roasted malt and dark fruit. Could use a bit more roastiness but overall pretty damn good stuff.

Smells of dark chocolate and coffee. Nice deep rich creamy black color. Delicious creamy dark rich coffee chocolate with some rich default the follow. Nice deep rich dark roasted coffee taste with a backdrop of chocolate nibs some malts sitting inbetween. For being such high alcohol content it is hidden very well. Would drink this again.

355ml bottle serverd in a pint glass at a flat room in Hong Kong. A: Pours a deep black color forming a small and solid tan head with excellent retention but only few spotty and lingering lacings left in the glass. Nose is sweet and fruity, here we go: Dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, roasted malts, sweet bread, vanilla, oak and grassy hops (everywhere :)). A bit boozy finish. T: Taste is sweet in upfront. Lots of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, roasted malts, sweet bread, vanilla and oak notes. Great bittersweet balance. Grassy hops profile. M: Heavy body. Medium to low carbonation. Roasted malts, licorice and grassy hops in the aftertaste. O: Great drinkability. Just another masterpiece from Sierra Nevada...

(Sierra Nevada Narwhal Imperial Stout) Bottle 355 ml at home, thanks to Nische! Served into snifter, ABV 10.2% Black coloured body and a thick piur. Good sized broiwn head, thick, with good retention. Aroma of light roasted malts, lots of chocolate, light vanilla, alcohol. Taste has light roasted malts too, nice fruity notes, some faint coffee, chocolate, well hidden alcohol here, it doesn’t taste like a 10.2% at all. Medium to thick body, soft carbonation, smooth texture on the palate. Very good.

Treacle and molasses on the nose. Pours predictably black and oily. Treacle, toffee, bitter dark chocolate, dried date, coffee and charcoal provide the flavour accompanied by a healthy kick of alcohol on the palate. Not a long finish but it warms the insides on the way down.

On draught. Pours jet black with a creamy tan head that persists. Nose is cocoa, espresso, and dark roast malt. Taste follows, with lots of body and a long finish. Creamy mouth feel, and it improves as it warms. Delicious.

Pours dark brown, black in the glass, with a thin tan head, good retention. Sweet aromas of chocolate, coffee, pine resin, toast. Full body, smooth, creamy, light carbonation. Medium sweet, a hint of citrus, and a lingering gentle bitter finish. Does not seem like a 10.2% beer. Very nice and complex, enjoyably sweet, and very sippable.
