3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Light ash, coffee and chocolate malt aroma. Black with small brown head. Sweet dark chocolate/caramel malt and strongly bitter herbal hops flavor. Lighter body for the style. I’ll give it this - can easily finish the bottle and don’t have to stand in line 4+ hours to get it. Solid beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours jet black with about half a finger of creamy, brown head. The aroma is coffee and anise and big malt, and the flavor is comparable to Old Rasputin or even the vaunted Ten Fidy stout. There’s smooth chocolate tones from top to bottom and a bitter finish. Very rich, very strong. You’re not gonna find a better stout than this at the price, and it holds up well against far more expensive beer.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
First rating in Years! Pours a rich brown almost black with a very small head and no lacing. Faint coffee aroma. Very delicate mouthfeel. Almost can't tell this is 10.2%! Very nice!

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black, with a short-lived dark tan head.
Aroma is licorice, chocolate.
Flavour is rich roast, coffee, chocolate.....with a strong tang of piney hops.
Burned, ashed, slightly acidic notes...
Alcohol is only evidenced by a slight back throat burn, and then after most of the bottle is gone.
Most Impressive......nice bittering.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Black pour with tan head. Dark malts, spices, licorice aroma notes. Flavors are intense but alcohol warmth isn’t too fierce. Finish is smooth.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sweet chocolate and roast aroma, pours an opaque black with a nice dark tan head. Nice rich roasted flavor, with hints of chocolate and coffee. Nice long roasted finish, and an overall very good imperial stout. I’ll be grabbing some more to cellar and see how it holds up.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a rich black color with a finger of mocha colored foam. On the nose its full of roasted dark malt, burnt chocolate and hints of coffee. The palate is slick and dark ! Damn this is burnt coffee, deep darkest chocolate Ive ever had. Nice little touch of sweetness brightens it up and lingers into a licorice coffee finish. Nice Stout ! Gonna age a fourpack and see what happens .

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a solid black with a brown head and lacing. It has an aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and a small amount of hops. The flavor is toast, coffee, and hop bitterness up front with a great, smooth chocolate and malt finish.
