12 oz bottle kindly given to me by Indra. 2285210:50 printed on the bottle. Bottled on 2012, 285th day (October 11th). The pour is an inky black, with a one inch dark khaki head. The aroma is roast malt, touch of ash char, and dry dark cocoa and cane sugar sweetness behind that. The taste is big roast initially, opens up to soy iodine, then progresses to the sweetness of the cocoa and cane sugar. The finish is a bit sharp, and presents hot booziness. The palate is heavy to medium bodied, oily mouth feel, and the hot dry finish. Solid Imperial Stout, thanks for giving me this one Eric.

Molasses/sweet aroma, with some coffee-ish roast and solvent alcohol. Sweet malt flavor (molasses/brown sugar/licorice) and roasty. Quite a bit of hot alcohol. I could swear there’s some nice Cascade flavor in the aftertaste, but apparently not--maybe it’s all in my head. Bottled 10/11/2012; drank 2/21/2013

Pours pitch black with a fluffy brown head that thins out quickly. The aroma is a huge hit of molasses and coffee backed up by some spicy hops. The flavor really packs a coffee and bittersweet chocolate punch, while the some bitter dark toast notes give it great complexity. The spicy bitterness of the hops come through on a refreshing finish that cuts through the rich, creamy mouthfeel, I was expecting a good brew, but was pleasantly surprised to find a great one! I will certainly look out for more of this one.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark completely opaque with absolutely no highlights. Head is dark brown and fades quickly. Nose is coffee, dark chocolate and some sweet prunes and banana. Really delicious. The first thing you notice is that this thing is thick. Really thick and viscous. Flavour is banana and clove, dark chocolate, subtle smoke, and then a lingering bitterness that goes on and on. Palate is slightly oily. Really quite delicious.

12 oz bottle. Pours black as night with a 2 finger khaki/brown head. Rich, chocolatey aroma with coffee beans and molasses. The chocalate taste is a bit more bittersweet than the aroma as well an astringent sweetness not unlike molasses. Picking up some earthy hop flavors too. Full bodied with a surprising amount of carbonation. Not much differant than a dozen other Impy Stouts, but quite good.

First stout in a while. Pours jet black with a lovely creamy chocolate head. Dark chocolate dominates the nose with a of coffee and some hops. The taste includes plenty of dark chocolate and some coffee. Very thick in texture this beer (like most imperial stouts) is a sipper. Pretty dam good Imperial stout.

12oz bottle. Pour is oily black with a quickly diminishing head of dark coffee tan. What remains is swirls of dark tan on the surface and around the glass. Aroma contains lots of dark rich chocolate and sweet malt. I also get cola aromas and maybe some smokiness. The hops make their presence known immediately in the flavors. The bitterness of the hops and roasted malt strike firmly at the beginning and then retreat behind the chocolate sweetness - although the sweetness isn’t nearly as strong in flavor as it is in the smell alone. The finish is again dominated by the American hops. The body is full and sticky. Alcohol is extremely well hidden and this beer is very easy to drink for the impressive power it carries. My only improvement would be to tone down the hope presence a little and let the chocolate, smokey character shine a bit more. Really well done.
