4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
From untappd backlog: Incredibly nice imperial stout, right off the bat. Tons of dusty oak, chocolate, caramel and dark fruits. Flavor is delicious, vanilla, dark roasty malt, coffee and chocolate. Decadent and delicious.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A very solid Imperial with heavy chocolate, caramel and coffee roast. Does not taste at all boozey at 10.2. It’s a top 10 Imperial for me. A great beer with all the complexity you can go after and the right amount of kick.

Bottle with Brian. Great beer for a cold winter evening. Dark with a opaque head. Coffee undertones. Not overly boozy. Will get again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma - roasted barley malts, with espresso, licorice, honey like booze, and resin hops.
Appearance - black body, with a 1/4" beige head that rings out.
Taste - have a fair amount of roast - with a bit of astringency, some licorice, espresso, richest of dark chocolate - even a bit of honey or caramelized sugars.
Palate - is medium, the texture, slick and sticky, the carbonation is soft, the finish astringent from the rich roast. It is long and strong.
Beasty of a beverage. Kudos Sierra Nevada!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pitch black. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Taste, even more pronouced. Really good stuff. I loved the 2013 edition, thought the 2014 was slightly worst, but this brings it back on track! One favourite is back!

355 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Pitch-black with a smal mocha head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel and coffee. Taste reflects the aroma, but its more straight forward, with more roast and burnt coffee. Full-bodied. High bitterness. And low carbonation.
