This massive imperial stout is incredibly complex, rich, and intense and will develop in the bottle for years to come.

Really high alcohol content (10.2%), but tastes rich and smooth. This is one of the better Imperial Stout’s available.

Inky black with a slight off-white head, not a great deal of nose but chocolate and a general sweetness do come through. Wonderful, perhaps a little too strong for its own good but a fantastic taste a sweetness, honey/molasses hits you, a very good beer.

Bottle from Pilgrim’s Market, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee aroma. Tastes similar, really roasty, malty, coffee, chocolate, slightly bitter and dry. Rich tasting Imperial Stout that would probably improve with a bit of age.

A black beer with a small brown head. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet, chocolatey, and a mild hop bitterness.

I really like this Imperial Stout. Very good taste, no bitter hop flavor. Overall a super beer.

Pour is jet black and thick with little tan head. Nose is dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Tasting notes are similar though there is a nice hop bitterness for balance. Mouthfeel is medium to full. Not nearly as thick as it appears. Overall pretty tasty ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2013 Poured from bottle into snifter at slightly warmer than fridge temp. Aroma: bittersweet chocolate and toasty grains. Little bit of earthy/spicy hops. Appearance: Foamy off-white head; minimal lacing, but excellent carb bubbles on the side of the snifter. Taste: Bitter chocolate; charred coffee; with a final and burning note of alcohol. What starts off as a pleasant orchestra of the tastebuds gets cut short by an astringent alcohol burn that lingers. Palate: oily, with lively carbonation. Ugh. This beer was promising until I had a mouthful of it. Does not mask its 10.2% alcohol well at all.

2013 12oz bottle.. pitch black brew... the head is dark, dark brown.. nice retention... Big roasty elements... dark malts and some background cocoa... cold brewed beans... very nice. The flavor is rich and unrelenting... dark roast coffee... plenty of roasted malt.. dark chocolate... just enough sweetness to bring out the malty flavors... a bit of dark currant and maybe fermented out raisin.. Body is about right... carbonation is square.... Pretty damn good... seriously.

Black pour, moderate to large tan head, good lace/retention. Aroma dominated by roast and chocolate, notes of darker fruits and lightly vinous. Medium to full bodied, light alcohol in finish, moderate sweetness. Not that creative but pretty well made.

Bottle from Bev4Less. Pours dark black. Not much foam. Nice roasty aroma. Coffee, leather, and cocoa all come through well throughout the very balanced, consistent palate. Nice finish with just the right amount of bite. Good, good stuff.
