Deep brown pour with a thin reddish-chocolate colored head. Roasted malt aromas of chocolate and molasses and just a hint of alcohol. Taste begins somewhat bitter dark chocolate and then some coffee notes come through. Finishes with a touch of alcohol and some grassy/piney hop bitterness. Nice long finish and hides the ABV fairly well.

Bottle. A- Roasty, chocolate syrup. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Bitter, roasty, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, dry bitter finish. O- Looks and smells good but the flavor is something weird. I can’t quite but a finger on it but it’s an odd bitterness. Can’t imagine this is normal because if so, it’s way overrated.

2nd best imperial stout i ve tasted. This is one special beer Its on the sweet side of imperial stouts. Chocolate and caramel are noticed on the first sip. After that the alcohol shows up and from there on it unleashes all the ingredients. For this kind of beer this one goes down very easy

Deep black with a thin brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, cocoa and vanilla. Smooth and fullbodied in the palate, with strong roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, booze. Sweet/bitter, rich and well balanced, sticky and tasty. Gorgeous ale!

L: Pours inky black with a decent tan head that recedes quickly leaving little lacing. A: Deep roasted malt and a little dark cocoa. T: Heavy on the bitter roast flavor with a little chocolate mocha coffee in the background. P: Carbonation is perfect but the beer feels a tad thin - however in RIS world that just means more alcohol which this one has. Feel is right for the style. O: A very nice Imperial Stout that I would/will have again. Aging would be interesting as well.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a wine glass. Cellared for 6 months. L- Dark brown, with an off-white head that quickly dissipates. A- Dark chocolate, plum, a note of espresso. T- Dry chocolate up front, with a drawn out, lasting bitterness P- prickly carbonation, a little heat. Medium-full body. O- Very balanced, and quite typical of style

Bottle share @ DLD 2016. Pour is black with a very small tan head. Aroma and aroma of roasted coffee grounds, light chocolate, and booze. Finish is similar with pretty much only booze and coffee coming through.

Tappad 31/7, 2014. Komplex, mogen arom.

On tap. Poured a black color with a tan head and good lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, coffee, bit of caramel and alcohol. Taste of roasted malt, dark fruit with a bit of coffee and caramel in the background. fairly mild bitterness and a dry finish. Fully body, smooth, with a bit of alcohol and hopped feel. Enjoyable beer.

2014 bottle from my cellar. Pours black with nice tan foam that leaves heavy lace. Aroma is smoke, anise, black malt, booze, leather, and coffee. Taste is similar with a mild marshmallows, and dark and milk chocolate finish.

(Bottle) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted, slightly spicy nose with dark fruit, dark chocolate, strong black coffee, dried figs, molasses and sweet liquorice. Malty, roasted, fruity taste with notes of dark fruit, chocolate, coffee, figs, treacle, molasses, liquorice and a generous cacao bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. A bit sweet, but really tasty and well rounded. Very nice.
