Delicate aroma of raisins and hard roasted malt. The taste has both strong espresso coffee, dark chocolate, anise, raisins and a little hint of sherry (or maybe itís a little cherry) towards the end. In addition there is a taste of dried peat, oak and a little vanilla. The finish is moderately hoppy with extravagant taste of bitter dryness mixed with bitter roasted cocoa beans.

Wow this is only the second time Iíve had this beer and what a monster! Black sooty oil colour with a brown/cream head, tastes like smokey Belgium chocolate with coffee syrup tipped over the top.. Long lingering finish of smoke and bitter chocolate, thanks sierra for this magnificent Specimen of a brew!

Wonderful experience in every way. Great pour and color. In the same category as Dragon Milk and Expedition Stout.

Narwhal 2012. Aromaís of roasted nuts, molasses, chocolate, caramel, as it warms alcohol. Huge aroma profile. Head has dissipated by the time I looked at it. leaves a medium lacing. mmMmmm. coffee aromaís at first taste. This is how a stout should taste. So much malt. low sweetness, low to medium bitters. Full bodied, thick/oily texture. A long finish.

Oily black with no head. Aroma of cocoa, oats, malt. Subtle coffee. Taste is the same. Rich and complex. Warming, dry finish. Excellent imperial Stout.

Man this is a great beer. First it pours a super dark color with a nice off white head. the nose is roasted coffee with some hints of hops. Alcohol with caramel, coffee and chocolate. Delicious.

Pours thick black, tan head similar to a coffee crema. nice mouthfeel, thick flavour with, coffee, chocolate, dart fruit and vanilla. slight dry kick at the end. Great beer, i have a stash of the 2012 and 2013 brews, both great.
