Nooner IPA is light in body but big in hop aroma and flavor. This session IPA delivers a dose of citrusy and grapefruit hop character from the use of whole-cone American hops. There is no better way to start a lazy afternoon than with a group of friends and a few beers. Nooner IPA is a session beer thatís light in body yet big in hop flavor. By using intense, whole-cone American hops in our Hop Torpedo we pack this small beer with a hefty hop punch.

Poured into shaker a deep gold with lumpy white head and good lace. Slightly hazy. Aroma is malty but there is the light pine hops in the background. Light bodied and clean. Taste is malts, cereal, hay the pine of the hops growing in the finish with some bitter. I thought it had more flavors than some other session beers, lest lemon like and more malty.

Letís start off by saying this... Nooner is not a bad Session IPA. It looks fantastic and has a smooth, clean mouthfeel. Unfortunately, the aroma and taste are not what Iíve come to expect from Sierra Nevada. Aroma is light but it is pleasant. Biscuit-like malt, caramel, and some lemon. Taste is refreshing but surprisingly unbalanced. The hops are understated and the malt character is a bit too sweet for my taste. I never thought I would say that about Sierra Nevada but there it is. Sadly, Nooner isnít a beer that Iíll return to in the future. Thatís too bad because Sierra Nevada could use a good, hoppy session ale in their inventory.

Bottle 355ml. Pours blond with medium off-white head. Some lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, fruits (tropical). Taste is of citrus, pine, fruits, bitterness. Palate: Light-medium carbonation. Overall: Very nice session beer. Good balance. I wish there was a beer like this available in my hood.

Bottle. A- Citrus, tangerines, oranges, grapefruit, juicy. A- Golden orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, bitter, dry, piney. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry finish. O- This one was beautiful on the aroma, however that certainly didnít translate over to the palate. The taste was a weird dry bitterness and just felt really unbalanced.

Bottle (12 oz). Bottle on 05-05-2014. Courtesy of Minderbinder, thanks! Hazy bright golden with a medium off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is of grapefruits, malt and a kind of spiciness that usually comes from the rye. Taste is of grapefruits, citrus, malt and light spiciness. Moderate bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Dry finish. The alcohol is perceiptible, which is weird for a 4,8% abv beer. Lack of balance. Drinkable, not as much as what you could expect from a Session IPA.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Hazy gold with a nice fluffy white head. Soft hoppy nose, citrus and floral. Resinous flavors, light malt, high bitterness, citrus peel. Dry, effervescent, easy to drink though a bit too bitter and carbonated.

Not much of a Session beer. This one has 4.8% alcohol. Itís Torpedo IPAS Light. It actually tastes pretty good. Like nothing Iíve had before.

At a tasting, many thanks DSG, small bubbly head, a little hazy light orange, colour, flowery fruity aroma with some hay, flavour of rose petals and tropical fruits, medium and noticable though not overpowering bitterness. Nice and easy.

Okay IPA. Not too strong but still has a good flavor. Not much aroma though.

This is a decent, well balanced IPA that does work well as a session beer (something to be said about living up to your billing). Nice hops, a little citrus, but not overpowering in either flavor or alcohol. Tasty and straightforward.

Floral citrus hop aroma with some piney and some almost earth aromas, or light malt aroma. Flavor is descent, but almost has a cheap ish malt flavor that overpowers some of the hops. May just be the balance of malt and hops, but that is the impression I get from the flavors. Not fully balanced. Descent for a session ipa, but a step or two below stone go to and the top session IPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
