COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.

An outstanding North American IPA. Complex, strong malty character, punchy hoppiness, lasting bitterness and exquisite on the palate. Different to the Southern Hemisphere but in a good way. I could drink this daily, nice one Sierra Nevada, bloody brilliant!

Meritevole!

Bottle. Pours dark orange. Off white head. Nose is kind of earthy. Taste is citrus, earth with a dry finish. Good IPA.

Draft at Good Dog. Slightly hazy gold pour with a large white head that left with a lot of lace. Brisk hop flavors. Earthy tree resins. Bitter lemon caramels. Apricot pits. Oak leaves. Straw. Green banana peels. Bit gummy on the tongue. Lasting bitter finish.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, hopfig fruchtig, bitter. Geschmack intensiv fruchtig hopfig, stark malzig.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed during its normal Autumn/early winter release for the freshness factor. The appearance had a bright golden orange colored body with a fluffy white one finger head that lasts for a good minute before gently dieing. Substantial foamy lacing is left. The smell had a superb combination between sweet caramel and piney/floral hops. The taste was an awesome bittersweet flavoring combined between the hops and the caramel. On the palate, she sat at/about a medium with nothing remotely close to being harsh on the tongue. I’ve never had any IPA that was so smooth as this one. Overall, big wow here, I wasn’t expecting this to be this good, but I’m thoroughly impressed and would have this again in a heartbeat.

(Bottle) Hazy amber with big white head. Nice aroma, predominantly citrus with subtle toffee hints. Medium body with great carbonation. Excellent flavour, starting with refreshing citrus notes that are quickly joined by some light caramel malty sweetness and then steadily growing hoppy bitterness. The hops are great; whilst there is a strong bitter finish, it isn’t aggressive and there is an enjoyable evolution of flavour. An impressive beer.

21-MAR-2014, bottle @MAD. Almost clear Brown/amber with lasting, lacing, tan head. Aroma is very weak. Almost nothing there. Taste is much better with hops and malt. Very fresh hops, grassy, flowery. Creamy, malty finish. Very malty backbone with a touch of spice and cabbage. Really nice.

Bottle. Clear dark amber with a foamy beige head. Mild fruity aroma with some light malt getting through. Toffee malt taste, big bitter bite. Medium body. Tasty!
