3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amber color. Smell of hops, grass, pine, minor grapefruit, malt, rye and leafs. Smelled like a nice autumn day. Taste of hops, pine, grass, malt, light caramel, rye and a nice hop bitterness at the end. Hardly no citrus taste at all. Mouth was coated with oil from the hops. This was almost as good as the Celebration ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Falling Rock Taphouse, Denver. Pure amber color with an initial head of foam that settles into a thin veil. Aroma is orchardy and full of fall fruits. Same for the flavors -- Apple, tangy corn-candy, sticks around in your mouth like sugar candy, sweet and festy. (#3141, 10/13/2007)

on tap @ papago...pours orange/amber with a fluffy tight head that slowly fades. aroma is mostly piney hops with some caramel thrown in. flavor is exactly the same with a creamy mouth feel. dry/bitter finish sticks around for a while. nothing special or complex...just hops and malt, nice!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
bottle- overwhelming piney aroma. found the beer to be extremely resinous, spicy (when I was expecting more of a citrus hop flavor), and well done. Enjoyed it very much.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2007 Bottle from City Beer Store in SF. Aroma of pine hops, resin, grass, with almost no citurs or floral. Taste is similar with lots of bitter pine hops, tingly hop finish. Almost no malt, quite dry. Good.

24 oz bottle. This was nice. A clear bronze/golden color. Nice hoppy aroma, and very smooth and easy to drink. Reminded me alot of Celebration, if maybe not a little easier to drink.

Pours a clear orange amber with an inch of white head. Aroma is of moderate to faint grassy and floral hops with a hint of pine. In the mouth, it’s more bitter than floral and pretty dry.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2007/11th Edition 24oz. bomber, pours a beautiful clear copper with a foamy persistent three finger cream colored head, great lacing. Aroma is dewy grass, pine/resin, and lightly floral. Flavor is a tempered but effective hoppy bite, with a nice lingering grassy/spicy finish, only the slightest maltiness to tame the hops, but well balanced. Easily up there with Celebration, and another favorite SN brew; glad this got bottled this year so I have a chance to try!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (22oz). Clear copper pour, huge foamy beige lasting head. Big up-front hop aroma, conifer and citrus, slightly roast malt way in the background; a bit leafy. The taste is more resiny than I expected, dry, almost burnt bitterness, very light malt body, decent little kick of alcohol in the finish - the acidity builds slowly until it’s noticeable. Light body, solid astringency/acidity, fairly quick finish, with a low-level acidic hop-bitter aftertaste. Really solid, I’m going back and buying a case!
