4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This one eluded me for at least four years now - always on tap at the Winking Lizard and always gone when I got there! This year it was at the Brew Kettle in Strongsville - at last! Soft bodied and strongly piney bitter, earthy and balanced, beautiful to look at, wonderful to smell, they wouldn’t sell me a growler - you bums!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Medium amber color with offwhite head. Nose of fresh, pungent hops, both citrusy and earthy, along with a healthy dose of sweet caramel malt. Flavor is a real celebration of the hop-- excellent citrusy flavor hops, nice earthy hop bitterness, and pleasant sticky-sweet hop and malt balance throughout. Creamy, full mouthfeel, with a tacky, sweet hop aftertaste. Tasted incredibly fresh; I really enjoyed this one!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Copper amber with a good off white head and thick lacing that hangs in sheets on the glass.
Good hops and citrus aroma with a big hops, grapefruit and citrus flavor with a big heavy mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft - not as much aroma as expected, but still nice spicy hops. A copper body and a beige head. Big malt flavor and the same spicy hops. Good, but not quite as good as expected to my palate.

Draft @ The Toronado. Murky orange color with a whispy white head. Pine and grapefruit nose. Great malt balance with a pleasent hop bitterness. Notes of oranges, pine and malt. Slightly metalic aftertaste.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Bittercreek Alehouse in Boise, ID
Light pellucid rust color, maybe bourbon. Thin light sticky head, decent lacing. Nose of fresh wet earthy hops and toasty caramel malts. The flavor has a light burnt edge that comes from the vegetal hop bitterness and the moderate (but sparsly used) roasted malts. A touch of alcohol. A bit of chewy hop resin in the finish. Overall not as drinkable as I was expecting but plenty fresh and tasty. A bit much of lingering bitterness as the pint wears on.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
The head was spare with not very good lacing. It seemed to have a bit of an bitter after taste, but all in all a decent beer.

On tap. Nice lace but not an overwhelming head. Good flavor, but I’m not sure it deserves the ratings its getting. May just be me, but it’s definitely a good beer.

This would have been ten times more enjoyable at home.11/28/2008> Picked up a bottle today. LAME! Must have got the only bunk bottle on the face of the earth! Hops are sorta there, mostly malts with some tingle(of hops) Smells off, cause it’s obvious, it is! At least I know why I was pissed today ever since I purchsed this bottle. I just want to add that Seirra is prob my fav brewer overall but...

On tap @ Naja’s. Very floral and hoppy aroma. More like an IPA than an American pale ale. A little bit of malt comes through in the flavor, but it is most defenitely dominated by the hops. A very well done beer.
