4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught at Tyler’s in Durham, NC. Clear light brown color. Prominent flowery, citrus hop aroma. Caramel flavor, again with prominent citrus hoppiness. Also a decent amount of hop bitterness. Smells and tastes similar to their pale ale with more caramel and somehwat more bitter.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had this at Tyler’s in Durham. Slightly cloudy appearance Has some of the malt characteristics of the pale ale, but with more oomph in the hop profile of course. Very nice and smooth drinking. I’d say it’s my favorite pale ale since alpha king tastes more artificial to me.

Tap. Clear amber color withan off-white head. Big citrus hop aroma with caramel underneath. Big hop flavor with a fair amount of malt behind it. The hops travel through to the big long bitter finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at he Grey Lodge in Philly. This was pretty good. Nice mellow malt flavor going for it. With a hint of hops. Only thing missing was that Sierra Nevada hop bite.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Oh my lord was this phenomenal. I love the melding of the flavors in these fresh hop harvest ales; they are a bit piney but the really seamless fit into the bready malt and all together there is a touch of iron, stong earthiness. Goodness do I love this flavor. The aroma is not strong, but has more pure pine elements, almost sappy. Gorgeous color and mouthfeel; I could dring this all morning, as I did in Memphis at the Flying Saucer. Katie was one good lookin’waitress...

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2007 (Draught - 2005) Lovely copper amber. Hops in the aroma and flavor, but well balanced. I like Celebration a bit better, but this is excellent.
(bottle 2007) still a great IPA. Medium amber. citrus hops aroma. Citrus and pine hops flavor.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Kennett Square Brew Fest (’05). Poured a medium amber color with smaller sized off white head. As expected, hoppy aromas and tastes. Overall, a decent APA.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
09.30.05 GABF You gotta love it when a beer can live up to years of hype. Insanely lasting beige head over lovely pale copper. Aroma is tight with controlled and complex resinous hops, big pine, some citrus pith. Excellent balance with a long and chewy hop finish. Touches of mint and light smoke. Tingles the lips; coats, then strips the teeth. Woth the wait.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 9, 2005 On draft. Pours a ridiculously clear copper. Typical APA aroma profile, full of hops, grapefruits, and malts. I had 5 or 6 pints and it surprisingly didin’t become less bitter as I drank it. Crisp and smooth going down. Drinkability is A+ which probably makes this beer so well liked.
