Bottle - pours hazy dark orange with big slightly off white head. There is. Big resiney hop hit which remind me of soap or disinfectant, this evens out to a citrus and malt aroma with a decent caramel sweetness. Big hit if sweet caramel mlt which transitions to a long, long, long dry finish right across the tongue, in the middle of all this there is also some wrmth from the alcohol mouthfeel is creamy. Nicely balanced hop with all of the characteristics making a decent showing.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The head builds up tall, thick and firm from the slow pour. . It is light tan in color and has excellent retention. A nice small cap of foam hangs on until the last sip and as it slowly slides its way down the glass it makes lots of cool lacing that sticks to the glass. Under the head lies a beautiful deep amber colored body with just the slightest protein or chill haze. The aroma has a piney resin like hop character with some citrus notes as well. Under that are some light bready/malty notes with just a hint of estery/yeasty red apple skin notes as well as a touch of raw grain. Like the Southern Hemisphere Harvest, this Harvest has a good sturdy base of bready malt sweetness with a touch raw grain. Hop flavor is also quit firm and assertive. The hop character is that of tasty piney hops with some resiny and juicy lemony/grapefruit citrus notes. The bitterness from the hops is more than equal to the malt sweetness and lasts well into the finish. The palate has a nice solid medium feel with plenty of lively carbonation.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a bomber. Pours a dark orange and makes big, foamy white head. Lacing rings all the way down the glass. Smells of fresh hops and caramel. Good balance of sweet and bitter even with a big hop taste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Picked up a growler of this. Pours a light copper color and is darker than most IPAs with lots of head and excellent lacing. Aroma is not as hoppy as I expected and rather weak. Lagunitas is well known for their "house" flavor but I think the same can be said for Sierra Nevada. I know special hops were used for this beer but it still tastes like other Sierra Nevada beers and in particular torpedo. Taste is sweet and a little spicy with some lingering bitterness. Medium bodied with a dry finish. I think this is a rather boring beer but then again I also think torpedo is overrated so that makes sense. If you like torpedo you will like this.

Sweet honey and pine aroma with a tiny hint of alcohol. Bitter hoppy taste. Resin, pine, some malt. Sweet aftertaste. Kind of syrupy. It could have been fresher and thus better.

Glass on tap against the grain. Pours clearish amber. Lovely froth head. Aroma a little hidden by head. Fruit, apple, pear, floral aroma. Lots of fruit cocktail sweetness in flavour. Mild bitterness, full flavour with a lasting aftertaste. This is a nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is a little strange with a wet cantaloupe smell. Taste is much better with a whimsical citrus, pine note. The finish is very caramel and malty and almost slippery--I like that...and no onions, thatís a plus! Overall, itís fine but I was expecting a lot more.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
24 oz bottle poured into a snifter. The aromas of baked, dark rye bread and peanuts are noticeable at first. After awhile, these fade and sweet grapefruit, pine, and even a touch of mint (?) comes through. The pour is a very hazy / murky and opaque orange - brown with a puffy, light brown head. The head reduces down to a thick ring with good, although thin, coverage on the surface, and leaves an average lacing. The taste is highly bitter with a medium high, caramel syrup and fruit sweetness. A touch of sourness appears at the finish. The mouth feel is a very creamy, full body, with lots of soft carbonation. Thereís a grapefruit and citrus peel note at the finish along with a note of pine, mint, and caramel nut as well as a very light rye bread. Itís a touch astringent, but this fades quickly in the aftertaste and the mouth is left with a dry and potent pine and grapefruit taste.
