Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.

I think this beer even gets better with age. I bought it when it came out in 2012 and kept a bomber in the fridge. I just drank it in early January 2013 and it was even better than when it was fresh. Some of the green hop/vegetable flavor dropped out and it seemed to be cleaner.

Pours copper clear with a nice solid head. Nose is floral hops, earthy, a bit of bready sweetness, a little grapefruit juice. Taste is earthy, sappy, pine, bitter grapefruit pith on the finish. Good ipa.

Bottle pour. Pours caramel with great carb and nice residual tan head. Good malt body. Great hop nose with hints of pine and grapefruit. Good bitterness and a reasonable palate. Good danky wet hop. One of sierra's better projects.

Poured from bottle into pint glass. Pours a very nice copper color with a large head. Leaves a nice lacing on glass. Aroma is grapefruit, with some citrus and pine. Taste is slightly sweet, with a medium body. The finish is great. Would like to drink this one all year long.

I felt healthier after drinking this beer... it is rich and creamy with so so much fresh hop juice from Mother Earth that I felt as if I was actually suckling one of her green goddess tits. Thanks SN for that experience.

Bottle from Julio’s. Pours out a gorgeous looking light clear amber with a frothy light tan head. One thing I’ve learned over the years is to expect clean, well made brews from SN. Aroma and flavors in this one are quite earthy with a good malty backbone. Smooth texture. Low bitterness.

Far better than most wet hops; I like the rather unique dill flavor in this otherwise balanced beer.

Bottle to pint glass. Floral, citrus and massive rose petal aroma! Pours a clear copper with full white head that is moderately sustained and patterns nicely with webbing down the glass. Flavor is heavy rose petal with moderate, rich caramel. Moderate high bitterness and a very dry finish.

24oz bottle into tulip. Minneapolis. Appearance: Copper in color. Excellent clarity. 2 fingers of white puffy head with good retention. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma: Floral, citrus, earthy. Very pleasant. Taste: Well balanced. A mild bitterness in the finish. Not overdone. Palate: Medium body. Average carbonation. Pleasant mildly bitter finish. Overall: This is a nice IPA. Its not overly hopper of bitter - balanced and well rounded. The hops profile is nice. A very drinakable beer.
