Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.

Ultra-fresh hops from the Yakima Valley packed into a brew with a large enough malt body to support them. What could be better than that? If you love wet hops, Harvest has all the qualities you could hope for. Dankness, juiciness, oils, resin, grassy notes, sticky (bitter)sweetness, and intense aromatics. People who aren’t usually fans of Sierra Nevada’s fans might be pleasantly surprised by the restrained bitterness and lower-than-average ABV. For the initiated, there are no surprises here. A great hop feast by Sierra Nevada. Go figure.

Huge floral hoppy note -fruity orange, grapefruit, pineapple, passionfruit take a backseat here -surprisingly spicy -well carbonated -strawberry and middling hop bitter (for the style) finish really nice IPA. a 50-60% higher price than other top IPAs though. i also wish i couldve gotten this fresher (was right around 120days),mightve improved it more.

Bottle, bought @YNWA Beershop, Kolding. Pours clear dark chestnut golden with a large, staying, frothy off-white head. Aroma has sweet malts, light caramel, grass, grapefruit, pine. Low carbonation, dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has fine sweet malts, light caramel, some grass, solid bitterness, grapefruit, piney hops. Fine.

Pours a clear gold. Has a faint grain and light citrus hop aroma. A grainy flavor with malts, caramel, hops, and an overall earthy dry taste. Tasted more like a mix of random things than a true IPA.
