Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.

draft at hollingshead. in my opinion, a decent beer. sweet and slightly hoppy. not very impressed with the fresh hops tag though. seemed to be overly malty and cereal-like with no real hop finish. maybe give this one a year to age.

Pour on tap, hazy golden-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big pine, resin, some slight orange and citrus notes into a bit of biscuit, bread, some nice lemon comes in as well. Taste was a mix resinous, grassy, herbal notes with some pine, sweet orange in there into a bit of biscuit, spice, and lemon, finishing bitter.

Bottle. It pours clear amber with a dense off white head. The aroma is quite malty with floral and citrusy hops. Citric flavor with grapefruit and malty notes. Quite bitter finish. Nice malty base but the hops are a bit to bitter aggresive.
