COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.

What a hoppitastic beer--wet hops at that. A bit of bitterness in the finish otherwise a nice strong ale with huge lacing.

On draft at SNís Torpedo tasting room in Berkeley. Normally this beer blows me away each year but I am underwhelmed by this yearís release. Though itís still damn good. Light orange with a fine white head. Great lacing. Very hoppy but not quite as citrus-y/piney as usual. Almost British by SN standards. More hops on the palate, very dry. Refreshing, but not as bold as I remembered.

Copper/amber color with orangish white head. Big piney, earthy aroma. Malty flavor with strong hops, nice, pleasing bitter finish.

2014 - Great introduction into the glass. Textbook pillowy head nested on a copper body. Smooth hop flavor that allows the bitter notes to play well with other flavors. Fresh citrus taste. Extremely enjoyable .

Pours a clear amber with a thick creamy head. Aroma is piney hops citrucy with a mild chocolate malt note. Taste follows the aroma well with the chocolate note more upfront. Medium mouth feel. This Beer has a killer malt backbone and a very delicious hop profile. This is a awesome brew! In my top 5 for sure.

Had on tap at Monkey Paw in San Diego. Pours a clear Amber with minimal white head. Aroma is floral with some pine. Smooth and clean. Finishes nicely. Really nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Earthy, foresty fresh hop cones, finish is piney, middle of palate medium sweetness, low-middling bitterness for style. Extremely drinkable, good flavors, good beer overall.

Bottle shared with pop. Aroma of pine, earth, grass, and malt. Pours amber in color with a nice frothy head. Taste is earthy, grass, pine cone, and a smooth caramel malt back. Reminds me of a much less offensive Arrogant Bastard. Great bitterness throughout. Solid IPA!

Great appearance: finger length head, good retention, attractive copper color. Aroma: herbal and earthy hop. Flavor: primarily herbal hop, some earth, slightly sweet and soft malt, woody, and huge explosion of flavor in the finish, with a lingering bitterness. Wow this is good. Convinced a close associate - not an IPA fan - to sample, and he said it was the best IPA heís had yet. Delicious! I think Iíll be tasting this for days.

From the bottle. Light pine and soft herbal bitterness with complimentary malt sweetness in the aroma. Taste is clean bitterness with slight metallic bite and pine over a dry, clean malt backbone. Clean mouthfeel. Usually not a big fan of wet hop IPAs but this one is quite nice.

I had this on tap at the Steam Pub in Southampton, PA. I very much enjoyed the wet hop brewed style from Sierra Nevada. Great flavor without overdoing it on the hop bitterness.
