COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.

Nice color and smell. Great fresh, bitter taste with a nice bite at the end. Great all around beer.

Pours bright amber with a slight tanned frothy head. Nose is sweet and slightly citrus with modest hops. Flavor is malty and rich with light resins, a little peat, and a modest portion of balancing hops. Bitterness is very low for the style but the overall flavor is still quite good.

Bottle from Bradleys. 09/22/2015 sadly past the 100 day line. Beautiful deep amber with a big head. Aroma has lots of pine and malts. Surprisingly bitter, very slippery mouthfeel.

Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Hop Harvest 6.7% Pouring a lovely amber gold with a creamy light beige head. This has a fresh minty woodsy hop bouquet with sweet caramel maltiness. Medium bodied with a sandpapery carbonation. The taste is sweet woodsy pine, green shoots and an impressive freshness. You really get these are wet hops. Fun to see this on tap in Japan.

Interesting aroma. Smells of molasses and malt. Unique taste. Definitely not a traditional ipa but has its own thing going on. Nice finish. Good purchase.

Pours deep Amber with a lacy white head. Nose is grass, pine and a hint of resin. Taste is full of resin and pine hops, bitterness is quite strong but has a little malt balance. Very fresh and full of flavour.

Bottle pour at home with a packaged date of 9/22/15 ( 124 days old) Considering the label says 100 day IPA, this is still quite good for a wet hop IPA. Probably one of the better wet hop beers I’ve had.

Good all around, this pours a dark amber with persistent white top and some lacing. Aroma is subdued, but nice - earthy and resinous. Flavor is similar with a good balance from malt sweetness. Somewhat bitter, but very palatable finish, never too dry.

Draught at Takiey. Classic caramel malt and piney green hops with a touch of citrus, bitter finish. Nothing too exciting, likely past its prime, these Sierra Nevada imports are definitely overpriced for what they’re actually worth...

710 ml (1 pint 8 oz) bottle bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Looks: Clear amber honey colour; One finger head with crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with active small carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant Ale malt, with strong floral, citrus, honey, molasses, pine, resin, yeast, lemon and fresh green grass.

Taste: Mid to strong sweet Ale malt, with strong grapefruit, floral, caramel, strong molasses, strong pine, strong resin, spices, biscuits, yeast, strong lemon, strong bitter hops and strong grass.

Body: Medium body, slick and very oozy palate.

Mouth Feel: very solid maltyness in a quick thick background. Strong, fresh and bit green Cascade and Centennial dominate with strong grapefruit, thick slab of resin ooze and pine. Big sweetness being balanced by strong lemon. “Fat” but refreshing!

Hoppiness: Strong floral, citrus, honey, pine, resin, lemon and fresh grass in nose. Strong grapefruit, floral, pine, strong resin, spices, strong lemon and strong grass in taste. Bitterness is strong, very green-grassy and fairly tasty for a lasting, high astringent sweet-bitter finish.

After Taste: Quite dry, very grassy-bitter and quite refreshing to mouth.

Comments: Unlike the fruity Southern Hemisphere Fresh Hop, this Northern Wet Hop seems to please with lots of freshly-picked Cascade and Centennial and it shows in its strong citrus and green grass taste. Seems a bit too swwet and resiny, and hop bitterness is a bit overstretched. Still if you like a strong oozy IPA with dollops of fresh cut grass then go for it. I still prefer the Southern Fresh Hop more than this one. Happy New Year!

Had high expectation and was let down. It's not bad but it is also nothing special. Pours a very attractive dark copper with slight foam head that recedes to a thin film. Nose is...soapy? Not sure how to describe it, but it is not an IPA nose. And the taste - it is a lot of malt, and some strange hops - wouldn't quite call it bitter. It does linger. It's ok - but I'd rather have a Sierra Nevada Torpedo. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
