Draught at Brew Dock. Clear dark brown with a than head, excellent lacing. Aroma is dark berry. Flavour is creamy burnt malt, vanilla with a mild fruit finish. More like a porter than a Marzen but very drinkable.

Aroma of deep, dark malts with some maple. Appearance is a dark shade of amber/brown. Comlplex flavor of dark fruits, brown sugar, oak, wood and maple with a intense alcohol filled finish. Overall, this is a fantastically dark and complex Oktoberfest boasting a full bodied, rich flavor. I wouldn’t expect anything less from SN. I’d give this an A rating.

(Bottled, 0.65l, rated 2011-09-22) Clear copper with a small, partly lasting head. Caramely malt and diacetyl in the nose with some berries. Flavor is caramely, with even more berries than in the aroma. Some US hops also found, though I don’t know if those are even used. Medium body, soft CO2. A quite good oktoberfest beer, but not very interesting.

drfat at One Pint Pub, Helsinki. copper pour, bready malt driven aroma. Flavor follows up aroma correctly. Decent marzen. Never have seen this in the US though, was practically in every bar i went into in Finland

[keg at North Bar, Leeds] Hazy pale gold in colour, decent amount of carbonation. Quite sweet on the nose – a touch of hay in there. Sweet on the palate too, but it grew on me as it went on. Some decent flavours, I found it quite bready. Enjoyable sweetish lager [05102011]

Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Copper to amber color. Fresh toasted malt aroma. Biscuity and bready malt flavor with toffee and some caramel. Quite ale like and for some reason tastes less pleasant when the beer warms.

Draught. Slightly hazy, reddish brown colour, very creamy head. Sweet and malty nose, slightly honeyish and slightly caramelly. Floral hops with nice grassiness and light citrusy notes. Quite bitter for the style, i like it. Medium body, very smooth and velvety texture.

Keg and over carbonated in my mind - tastes to me like a nutty brown ale with fizz. Not foul but not wowing me ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught, Old Bank, Turku. Coppery amber-red body. Slightly off white head. Fresh malty nose, light herbal notes. Balances creamy herbal hop vs. malt taste, bit polleny. Not complex but in every way a good lager.

Tap. Pours dark brown/copper red. The unmistakable Sierra Nevada aroma is the first thing that you sense. Sweet buttery taste with some nuts and caramel. Not as brilliant as most Sierra Nevada products but Not Bad either.
