Draft at shultzy’s over lunch with my research group. Beautiful clear amber pour with creamy dense head. Aroma: bread, toast, light caramel. Taste: malt-driven, moderately sweet, short bready finish, never sticky or overly sweet. Palate: medium- body. Overall: above avg marzen.

Bottle from bhensonb. Pours amber with a thick beige head and a bread and toffee aroma. There is a medium-bodied smoked malt flavor with a raspy finish. Typical Marzen.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear, deep copper with a very thick two finger tan head. Outstanding head retention and lacing that surprised me. The aroma is a little bit metallic but other than that, is really full of caramel sweetness, toast, maple syrup, and a whiff of light pine. The flavor is where this beer really stands out. Light caramel and toast is perfectly balanced with grassy hops with a touch of maple and wood notes. Bitterness is moderate but nicely contrasts with the sweetness from the malt. Overall, for a first crack at an Oktoberfest by Sierra Nevada this one does not disappoint. Would love to see this in sixers.

12oz bottle thanks to dmac. Poured a clear dark Amber color with a finger of foamy white head. Aroma and taste were much the same. Notes of grain, grass, caramel malt, and light spice.

Bottle from the brewery shop in Chico. Pours copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is lightly spicy/bready. Med + body. Flavor is pretty malty. Seems to have something like rye spice. Mouth prickle/tingles. Definitely malty, but way drier than seems reasonable. Finishes just mildly sweet, and the thick feel goes well with that. Really much more drinkable than all the relatively tasteless sweet Oktos out there.

Brown color nice head and lacing. Dry dry dry hops. Toasted bread nutty crisp rye. Slight caramel and toffee but not much. More of a but brown ale. Dry harsh finish ruins this one.

~Rich malty bready aroma, sweet, raisin, and toasty ~Dark golden to amberish color with small off white head. ~Sweet malty bready flavor, raisin, toasty, balanced with earthy spicy hop. ~medium bodied with medium CO2, sweet yet hoppy bitter finish. ~Solid Oktoberfest. Enjoyable. Could drink a few of these

Dark amber, clear, with a little off-white head. Bready, malty aroma. Nice full-flavored Oktoberfest.

12oz can via fall 12 pack from Spirits Brick. Poured an okay looking orange/amber with a smaller to average sized off white head. Aroma/flavor is lightly spicy, dough, wet nut shells some old rotting citrus. Fuller bodied that fills your mouth, creamy with stronger carbonation. Meh.
