Brewed using 65% wheat malt and 35% barley malt. This filtered wheat beer is light blonde in color, light bodied and has a wonderfully clean finish. This is a great choice for craft brew novices and beer aficionados alike.

A Mes rate. Draught at the White Horse.
Very clean gold, looks nothing like a wheat beer. Nice and crisp and bitter, no wheat to detect at all. Slight vanilla and lemon. One dimensional but pleasant.

12-oz. Thanks, Sean! Pours crystal clear bright gold with a loose and thin platinum blond head that doesnít stick around for long at all. Loose stringy white lace coming down the sides of the glass. Nitrogenous, sweaty nose...not buttery sweat, definitely more gym socks. Mostly just mild and bready but the sweat canít be completely ignored. Creamy medium body, lively carb. Toasty, biscuit, wheat bread, and laundry on the mid-palate, with a very mild black pepper finish. Drinkable enough, even given the flaws, and more or less refreshing when cold.

12oz bottle, no date from the brewery. Clear golden amber with small off-white head, fading to swirling film before long. Aroma of crisp wheat malt and light grassy hops, and a touch of toasted grain. Flavor adds a tinge of fruity yeast, but in more of a generic sense rather than banana. Finishes with bitterness around a 3. Light to moderate carbonation with a light body. Oberon and Gumballhead are still my American wheat beers by far.

Sampled at the brewpub on 6/17/2010. This wheat ale pours a light gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal and grain, slightly spicy with some floral hops. A light to medium bodied wheat beer. The malts are cereal and grainy, with a touch of fruitiness. There is a slight hint of the banana and clove here as well. The hops are spicy and floral. Crisp and clean. Nice carbonation. A touch of fruitiness, but mostly grain with a nice slightly dry finish. A nice summer beer. There is enough flavor here to keep it interesting. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Draught at the brewery. Clear gold in color with a lasting creamy white head of ample size. The aroma is subtle but has a nice floral hoppy charactrer that mixes with fresh cracked wheat and malt, almost like fresh bitter wort. The flavor has a lot of wheat character but is generally clean from the filtration. There is just enough of a bready malt balance to keep the wheat in check as well. Dry and crisp with a tangy hop flavor and light bitterness that reminds me of apricot pit. Light bodied and snappy, but with soft carbonation that is ample but not agressive. A really well balanced and refreshing quaffer that was great to have while sitting on the brewery patio on a warm chico afternoon. A great beer to enjoy in peak condition, as I can see this getting flabby with some wear on it.

(Old BA rate - tap BTAH) Clean light gold, with little head or even retention. No haziness or rising carbonation. Aroma has faint wheatiness; really have to try to tease out that itís a wheat based beer. Not very complex, and not very representative of the style. Lacks tartness and other characteristics (such as yeastiness) that are often associated with the style. Light viscous body, with a little touch of carbonation. Itís nice and light, but really doesnít deliver on the taste front. Overall, I was confused as to what SN was trying to do with this brew. I wouldnít bash this brew, but would not go out of my way to recommend.

Draft @ Sierra Tap House. Pours a clear, bright and bold yellow color; fluffy white head with good retention and sticky fine-bubbled lacing; a nice pour aside from the lightness. Decently present aroma of sugar, honey, and citrus bitterness; nicely toasty and dry. Nicely crisp, medium mouthfeel: toastiness, basic sugar and a touch of honey; minimal weizen character; just a basic, crisp, drinkable beer with solid mineral hoppiness; and honey. Lasting mineral bitterness in the finish; nicely dry.

Draft at the California Brewers Festival. Gold with a white, lacing head. Medium body, strong carbonation. Flavor is biscuit and noble hop, with just a mild touch of banana ester. Tastey.

Tap at RNH. Clear pale golden beer. Thin white head. The aroma is lightly wheaty. There is a bit of light lemon and a touch of earthy spicy hops. Nice enough for the summer although itís pretty damn light. Refreshing though.

Light yellow in color... Aroma of wheat malts... Flavor is of wheat, banana, with a crisp finish that leaves a nice wheat taste on the palate, much better than the summerfest and more complex.... Great beer, too bad it isnít more commercially available instead of blue moon or shock top and other trash wheats like them...
