COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using 65% wheat malt and 35% barley malt. This filtered wheat beer is light blonde in color, light bodied and has a wonderfully clean finish. This is a great choice for craft brew novices and beer aficionados alike.

Small bottle from the shop in Yosemite village in the US. Golden / light orange body with a white head. Aroma and taste of wheat. Medium carbonation. Good drinkable beer. Nothing special. ***

From the can. Straw yellow w/ a white head. Grains and light biscuit. Some minor bitterness in the finish. Ok, but not great.

Old Chico is another example of an overall comment I have of the entire Sierra Nevada portfolio of beers: Technically clean, but lacks depth of flavor. Sierra is the sixth largest brewery in the U.S. and its mass production level prevents it from delivering exceptional beers in any category. We owe Sierra a thanks for pioneering the craft beer business, but unfortunately, its beers have become more macro than micro.

Pours light cloudy yellow with a finger of white head. Aroma of honey, wheat, hay, barnyard, light spices. Taste is sweet with wheat and honey. Light bitterness in the finish. Lively carbonation, light and slick body.

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a foamy white head and lacing. It has a light aroma of biscuit, wheat, and pale malt. The flavor is sharp wheat and pale malt up front, leading to a mildly bitter middle and mostly crisp finish over a medium-light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a straw color, lots of white carbonation with a good head. Cereal on the nose, and lots of grains in the flavor. An ok beer. Not amazing, but refreshing.

Can... Poured pale, clear straw with a thick, frothy white head. Not much going on in the aroma here. Smooth, clean, very quaffable. Not a whole lot going on as far as hops. Some cracker-like grain and malts, wheated tones. Nice clean finish. A perfect lawn mower beer.

Not too shabby! Foamy, off-white head, with orange-yellow color and clear. Bitter midway, with a strong mango flavor and crisp finish.

I don’t normally appreciate wheat beers much unless they are nicely done. This one is simple, clean, and uncomplicated. Light bready malt backbone and and yeast profile with a touch of smooth hops on the clean finish. Wonderfully drinkable and refreshing without suffering from skunk-butt syndrome, as do so many wheat beers (even ones that are not supposed to be super crappy). I’d be happy to drink a six-pack of these on a hot summer afternoon.

Pretty refreshing wheat beer. A friend had a six pack of these in the fridge and it look better than a can of Bud. Pretty surprisingly tasty tho.
