3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewpub. It pours clear yellow with a white head. Obviously a filtered wheat beer. The aroma is nice with wheat and lemon. The flavor is lightly tart with some crackery malts and lemon with a strong bitter finish (for the style). Decent little wheat ale.

Pleasant little filtered hefe from SN. Light crystal malts up front, perfectly balanced American wheat flavors in the body, and a light hop wheat blend for the finish. Good, clean, true to style.

12oz bottle, thanks Molly! Clear yellow pour with a nice white head. Big wheat aroma. Light flavor and very easy drinking. (1921)

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass. Typical transparent gold with a mediocre white head. Musty rotting bananas and cereal on the nose. Not exactly an intoxicating bouquet. Flavor is a subtle blend of tart fermented wheat, barely-there citrus hops, banana peels, and sticky grains. Iím not sure why I punished myself by buying what is obviously a lame-ass beer (another coveted wheat ale tick!) but whatís done is done. I emerge from this experience unsatisfied.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Whole Foods, Sacramento. Pours clear blonde with a decent white head that doesnít last long and a floral aroma. There is a refreshing wheat flavor with a little banana ester and dry slightly bitter finish. No sourness as in many wheat beers.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, thanks to my brother. Bright brass colored body with a bright white head. The nose is doughy with a little bit of apple. There is a hint of clove. The taste has some lemons a little bit of black pepper. There is some soil. Good for an American Wheat.

Perfectly fine and refeshing in the sun. Not a keeper but great as a Swede to try a local only brew.

should have known it wasnt going to be anything special when it basically says "this is for beer noobs" on the bottle. very much what youíd expect, the yeast flavor dominates and the SN house character really shows through. almost feels like itís an unfinished SN beer....like whereís the rest of it!? itís 105 here right now though and this is pretty thirst quenching, and after a long day itís doing the trick. but why you would buy more than one six pack of this to try it out is beyond me. the demographic for SN beers arenít exactly looking for more crystal wheat beers to try if you ask me. summer beer? yes. doesnít mean you have to bottle it

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Small white head. Clear paleish yellow body. Grainy earthy aroma.
Dry earthy grassy taste with strawy oily notes. Mid-bodied.
Sharpish, dusty mouthfeel. Dry oily strawy grainy aftertaste with
fruity earthy notes. Unusual beer. Not sure I like it, but
thereís nothing really wrong with it. (0.355l bottle, some liquor
store, San Francisco.)

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
355 ml bottle. Pale golden colour. Clear. Tall white fine-laced head. Wheaty and spicy aroma. Popcorn-like malt flavours. Maize. Some caramel. Wheat. Soft malty flavours balanced by high carbonation level. Next to no bitterness. Itís there for sure, but well hidden. A little weird at first, but quite drinkable.
