Brewed using 65% wheat malt and 35% barley malt. This filtered wheat beer is light blonde in color, light bodied and has a wonderfully clean finish. This is a great choice for craft brew novices and beer aficionados alike.

12oz bottle, thanks Molly! Clear yellow pour with a nice white head. Big wheat aroma. Light flavor and very easy drinking. (1921)

12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass. Typical transparent gold with a mediocre white head. Musty rotting bananas and cereal on the nose. Not exactly an intoxicating bouquet. Flavor is a subtle blend of tart fermented wheat, barely-there citrus hops, banana peels, and sticky grains. I’m not sure why I punished myself by buying what is obviously a lame-ass beer (another coveted wheat ale tick!) but what’s done is done. I emerge from this experience unsatisfied.

marcus (6493) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 3, 2011
Bottle from Whole Foods, Sacramento. Pours clear blonde with a decent white head that doesn’t last long and a floral aroma. There is a refreshing wheat flavor with a little banana ester and dry slightly bitter finish. No sourness as in many wheat beers.

Bottle, thanks to my brother. Bright brass colored body with a bright white head. The nose is doughy with a little bit of apple. There is a hint of clove. The taste has some lemons a little bit of black pepper. There is some soil. Good for an American Wheat.

Perfectly fine and refeshing in the sun. Not a keeper but great as a Swede to try a local only brew.

should have known it wasnt going to be anything special when it basically says "this is for beer noobs" on the bottle. very much what you’d expect, the yeast flavor dominates and the SN house character really shows through. almost feels like it’s an unfinished SN beer....like where’s the rest of it!? it’s 105 here right now though and this is pretty thirst quenching, and after a long day it’s doing the trick. but why you would buy more than one six pack of this to try it out is beyond me. the demographic for SN beers aren’t exactly looking for more crystal wheat beers to try if you ask me. summer beer? yes. doesn’t mean you have to bottle it

Small white head. Clear paleish yellow body. Grainy earthy aroma. Dry earthy grassy taste with strawy oily notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish, dusty mouthfeel. Dry oily strawy grainy aftertaste with fruity earthy notes. Unusual beer. Not sure I like it, but there’s nothing really wrong with it. (0.355l bottle, some liquor store, San Francisco.)

355 ml bottle. Pale golden colour. Clear. Tall white fine-laced head. Wheaty and spicy aroma. Popcorn-like malt flavours. Maize. Some caramel. Wheat. Soft malty flavours balanced by high carbonation level. Next to no bitterness. It’s there for sure, but well hidden. A little weird at first, but quite drinkable.

popery (1418) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 25, 2011
Bottle. Nice light wheat ale but not enough going on to recommend it overmuch. Lemony, vegetal aroma with a nice zesty wheat note and clean yeastiness. Light but creamy on the palate. Transparent gold, nice head. Nice enough session beer but not too special.

12 oz. bottle from Hayduke. This beer looks like a pale lager being clear gold with a smallish white head. The aroma is spice and light fruit. Some very soft fruit. An interesting start to this one. It has apples and bitterness. Any malt is very much in the background and light fruit is noticed. There is also some floral, herbal, light lemon, wheat flavors, and grain.
