3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Bavarian Lodge. Cloudy brown color. S;ight;y fruity and sugary smell. hard to decide what I want to discuss first. After that first sip, I set the glass down and have a strawbery aftertaste. Sweet but not sugary. Slight molasses and brown malt flavor. Any alcohol is well masked until the middle of the goblet. Smidgen of weizen yeast ester. Fruit aftertaste lost after the first sips. Really nice, but i can’t say it’s that exceptional.

A hazed brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity molasses malt with vanilla, licorice notes, nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with licorice and molasses, oxidized, not bad but tired.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Delicious dubbel with a thin texture when you taste those malty suds with the caramelized sugars and spicey Belgian abbey ale. A wonderful abbey dubbel with rice tastes that is a little lighter for its type.
