3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beerenberger (784) - Fischer, Texas, USA - JUL 9, 2012Pours from the bomber a golden yellow with a less than persistent white head and no lacing. The aroma is yeast, grain, and hints of white fruit. The taste is initially Belgian yeast (bananas - bubblegum, then almost immediately, there is a crisp taste of white fruit (apples?) and grain. The finish is dry and there is a bit of a grainy aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium-light and very crisp. I really liked this beer.

The nose is full of biscuit malt, with a dose of Belgian yeast and citrus with a little bit of cinnamon and coriander. The flavor has a lot of malt and yeast character, as well as some sugar, lemons and oranges. The alcohol is noticeable but the beer is still easy to drink.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 nuplastikk (3274) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 13, 2013
750ml corked and caged bottled. Opens with a trememdous pop. Unfiltered yellow-orange-tan body, lots of rising carbonation bubbles. Fluffy off-white head. Pleasant dry noble hop aroma, some rustic, almost barnyard notes. Creamy yeast tones, delicate dryness. This is a really great, world-class Belgian Golden Ale. Bold in flavor, but captures the true drinkable lively effervescence. A really great beer.

Getting honey, hops, and a bite. Too bitter to salvage anything else. If you can avoid.. You would be wise !

Nice. Liking this one. I’m thinking hickma, pear, apple, and maybe hearts of palm. This is smooth and balanced. Wish I could rate it higher but it just doesn’t pop. Complex flavour and aroma are there but a bit subdued.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20 adamah (56) - - MAY 1, 2013
The nose was very yeasty with a little spice. Just like the name it poured a clear golden with lots of pillowy foam. The was mildly sweet with some bitterness of the front end. For the price I’d say its a decent smooth beer.

Bouteille 750ml.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 rangerred (659) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - APR 1, 2013
Poured into a goblet of a 750ml bottle.
Pours a clear deep gold with a fluffy two finger white head. The head never really goes away thanks to the abundant carbonation but there is also not a whole lot of lacing.
Big Belgian citrusy note on the nose with tons of pear and peaches. Some peppery spicyness along with clove and a touch of banana. Not bad but not quite as sharp and in your face as some others.
The taste is somewhat muted which is disappointing because there is really so much potential. Nice spice along with lots of pear. A little peppery as well with some light hints of biscuit. Mouthfeel is very soft and spritzy and really is perfect for the style. Finish is moderately dry with just a little stickyness and the alcohol is well hidden.
Overall, a nice attempt by Sierra Nevada at a beer that can be difficult to get right. While it is not as good as some of the top of the line Belgians, it is a great job by a large brewery in the States.

Bottle pours clear straw yellow with a foam white head with lots of staying power from the unending carbonation. Obviously filtered. Nose of grass, earth, bubblegum, and malt. Taste begins sweet, then is rounded out by lots of grass and earth on the finish. Body is light and the carbonation is prickly. Sweetness hangs on the tongue for a bit.

Bottle shared by TakticMtl.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with white foamy head.
Aroma : Yeasty and spicy with light floral notes.
Taste : Dusty yeast with floral and spicy hops. Some alcohol. Yeasty finish, quite spicy, light alcohol, quite bitter.
Overall : Not bad but a bit too spicy for my taste. A bit too much alcohol too. Not really my thing.

Gold, clear, huge rocky white head. Aroma of biscuity malt, a corriander-like spiciness. Flavor of dry, crackerlike malt, prickly effervescent carbonation, earthy spice, a little light fruitiness. Well balanced and drinkable.
