COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An homage to the monk’s noble work, this unique farmhouse ale is incredibly complex with notes of lemon, pepper, straw and herbs balanced by the tang of Mandarin oranges and a spicy kick of pepper. The Mandarin oranges used to make this beer were locally grown, including a portion grown on the grounds of the Abbey of New Clairvaux and picked by hand by the community of monks living there. We hope you enjoy this collaboration ale.

Really great beer! Has a hint of Belgian yeast and orange in the nose. Love how restrained the use of orange is in the taste too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light amber/copper color with a quick dissipating head. Aromas hay, sweet caramel, slight orange peel, toffee, and Belgian yeast. Flavors of hay, medium sweet honey, coriander and some light undertones of pepper with a little kick in the finish. Medium sweet. Notice just a faint hint of alcohol in the finish.

Bottle from Total Wine. Extremely earthy/yeasty aroma along with some initial notes of Banana. Mandarin oranges and peppercorns were not very evident to me in the aroma or taste. Maybe a little bit of mandarin orange but that's it. Appearance is cloudy copper/orange with a very strong head - much more robust than the typical Saison. Overall a very complex and enjoyable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark orange pour with a white head. The aroma is full of orange with some light pepper, yeast and biscuit malt. The flavor is similar with some juicy orange notes, peaches, yeast, biscuit and light pepper. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A great variation on the already good Ovila. Pours an absolutely beautiful bright orange with a light white head. Smells of mandarin oranges and peppercorn. Lots in the taste too. Starts with the orange, ends with a bite of pepper. They work great together! Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gold/cream head. Orange, grass, honey, florals, and clean. Very smooth palate, heavy belgian yeast, Dugan, orange, not much pepper, and a nice finish.
