3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slightly hazy orange and copper coloured body with an almost ruby and orange coloured tint and almost no head at all to speak of. Aroma of pale malt, yeast, curacao, bubble gum and a good deal of grassiness - no pepper in the nose and only perhaps a touch of coriander seed. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep, long lingering flavour of super pungent curacao and perhaps even full oranges with a good grassy and barnyardie finish. Aftertaste shows a good yeast strain, some earhy malt characteristics and a light spiciness that couples well with a touch of orange sweetness. Overall, a nice saison that shows some good spices and a very flavourful orange component and much less so from the pepper. I sampled this 37,5 cL split bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 13-July-2013 for US$3.75 sampled at home in Washington on 05-November-2013.

Bottle. Pours orange with a minimal white head. Smells very mandarine orangey. There’s a lot going on in the taste, sweet citrus fruits, banana, sweet malts- almost a barleywine backbone- very spicy finish. A nice beer.

Great aroma rolls of this one, even just on the pour. A bit syrup-y, and a bit flat. The flavors are there, but the palate really hurts it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It’s a bit good. It could do with more fruit on the aroma, but the nice balance of the sour bottom notes and the sweet top note as it tries to be known makes this a bit pleasant to drink. I like this enough to want to buy another.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours nearly an amber and quite darker than I would have thought. Head is mostly white and laces well. Nose is spicy, clove, sweet fruits, breads, citrus. Flavor is similar but finishes lightly tart and quite dry. All flavors are in balance and malts are sweet on the front end. Really a nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance was hazy orange gold with tight creamy off white 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are soft pils, wheat malts with oranges and spice, yeasts are tame and soft. Taste are fruity orange, lemon with soft malt backbone, then slight peppercorns and soft spicey yeasts. Palate was light- medium body, then smooth soft CO2 with fruity average length soft Belgian yeasty finish. A good American Saison.

Light amber to gold color with a thin white head. Aroma is similar to banana bread with a touch of fruit. Flavor is a little fruity and bready with a bit of banana flavor. A little too sweet in the finish.

An orangish mahogany color with a suprisingly small head yet lots of carbonation. Aroma is oranges, mild spice, some yeast. Taste is quite a lot of orange, some spicy yeast and a really lively carbonation. Pretty decent!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Corked and caged bottle at a most reasonbable price point! Pour has a copper color with a thin coat of white foam that fell off in a fizzle. Aroma has straw, orange pulp, mild citrus, and some pepper. Mouth feel is on the light side and the carbonation medium low. Flavor has wet straw, grains, peppercorns, and very mild orange.
