An homage to the monk’s noble work, this unique farmhouse ale is incredibly complex with notes of lemon, pepper, straw and herbs balanced by the tang of Mandarin oranges and a spicy kick of pepper. The Mandarin oranges used to make this beer were locally grown, including a portion grown on the grounds of the Abbey of New Clairvaux and picked by hand by the community of monks living there. We hope you enjoy this collaboration ale.

Pours golden with a nice head. Aroma is awesome with grass, orange and lemon. Nice taste that mirrors the aroma and has a very nice palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Dresden, thanks man! Dark dolden pour with half a finger of white head. Aroma, spices (clove maybe), Belgian yeast, banana, tropical fruit, and some subtle sweetness. Taste, slight sweetness, followed by a bit bitterness, some citrus fruit, finishes dry. Overall, an interesting take on the style, very refreshing.

Draft at bistro on bridge. Pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma comes out peppery with a tangerine note. The taste is a bit dry, a bit spicy, a sweetness on the finish. Pretty Damn good.

Aroma is a hint of spice. Appearance is a clear gold with a decent size lingering head. Taste is fruity with a hint of spice, not as spicy as I thought it would be. Over all this is a good beer. Definately recommend trying.

Pours a dark gold with pretty much no head - nose of candi sugar, citrusy syrup (like the syrup they put in fruit cups), pepper, toasted grain - texture is a little watery, and the carbonation is kind of prickly in the mouth - flavor is simple and sweet up front, with sugar and sweet orange - a metallic tang through the middle leads to som moderate bitterness, rustic phenols, and spicy pepper, but for the most part, the sweetness persists through the finish - not completely unenjoyable, but pretty weak.

A nice saison, the pepper is a nice accent to an otherwise fruity sweet and Belgian yeasty ale. Pours golden orange with full head, aroma is heavy on orange/ apricot fruit. Pleasant strong flavor intensity yet drinkable. Medium bodied, strange though because I didn't notice much lacing or carbonation. Finishes fruity, clean overall. Well done, but not as complex as others. Recommended overall.

A nice refreshing and crisp saison. Aromas of sweet yeast and Belgian candy. Nice dry palate. I get a bit of the orange and peppercorn. Very nice overall.

Bottle courtesy of family. Pours a clear yellow-gold with a white head. Nose is lemon, pepper, citrus, some Belgian yeast, esters, and sweet malt. Flavor is similar: sweet malt, citrus, sweet malt, lemon, pepper up front, yeast and pepper in the mid and a fruity and off-dry finish. Light to medium in body and a nice saison overall.
