Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

355mL bottle. Pours a light orange-amber turning yellow towards the edges. Two fingers of off white head that fades in a few minutes to a few millimetres. Great lacing. Citrussy notes on the nose with definite lemon and orange aromas. Also slightly sweet with a hint of yeastiness. Taste is loads of citrus with a bit of a lemon peel component. Nice creaminess and butteryness both on the mouth feel and the palate. Lovely light floral element on the mid palate. A slightly musky damp note on the finish (but in a good way). However the finish is dominated by bitter hops and a slight taste of iron, which is really fascinating. Carbonation is spot on, and overall I really enjoyed this beer. God I wish Sierra Nevada beers were cheaper and more widely available in Australia.

Pours copper color with a large, lasting head. Aroma of malts, fruity hops, grass and citrus fruits. Has a distinct "house flavor", citrusy fruits, mild metallic malts and hops. Bitter palate with a long bitter fruity finish.

0.355l bottle. Nice orange color with a thin white head. Sweet caramel-like aroma with some flowers and citrus. Light-medium body with good carbonation. Good balance of the maltyness and the hoppy taste. A very good ale.

Can. Now that this is in a can, I saw that I have never rated this before, but have had no less than a couple hundred times. Clear pale orange with a medium sized fluffy head. Good retention and lace. Floral and grassy hop aroma. Hoppy, bitter flavor with malt behind. Classic for me and will always be one of the best.

0,35l bottle from Csakajósör, Budapest. Hazy, orange and caramel color with medium white head. Spicy, honey odor. Strong hoppy aroma with flowers and spices. Some malty and alcohol flavour also appears. Dry, light bitter taste. Light body with slick texture and lively carbonation. Hoppy finish. Delicious, well hopped, spicy ale. Light and drinkable.

This is an exceptional beer! It features a fantastic amber colour, a somewhat grassy aroma, and complemented with a ’bitter but sweet’ taste. It feels like this has a lot going on in terms of its taste, body and aroma. In terms of drinking, this beer has sipping qualities; a very easy to drink yet rewarding and complex beer! I would absolutely suggest you pick this up if you get a chance, I know its quite well established in the USA but it seems to be picking up over in the UK today, if you spot it, give it a shot!

Very nice piney citrusy scent and very hoppy. Beer pours a golden yellow with a soapy foam that does not last. Does leave a bit do lacing. Taste very citrusy mainly grapefruit and hoppy with a piney after taste. Overall a very great tasting beer one of my favorites.

Been enjoying this beer since at least ’95 so it only makes sense to add a review as part of my Inernets beer geek phase. Golden caramel pour with a respectable froth of white foam. Aroma clean bitterness with some pine over a very clean almost lager-like malt backbone. Taste is clean hop bitterness with intermixed pine and a touch of malt sweetness in the finish. Clean mouthfeel. Classic easy drinker.
