Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Pours golden amber with a creamy head. Floral aroma with citrus, bread and some pine. Medium body, slick feel, average carbonation. Taste is deliciously hoppy with oranges, grass and some grapefruit. Malty finish.

The benchmark American Pale Ale by which all others are judged. Even after the flood of pale ales and IPAs, it remains a classic status.

Bonne beer.

355ml bottle. Amber, slightly cloudy. Nice hoppy floral aromas. Malty, citrus taste, some bitterness, some sweetness too. A nicely balanced and complex American pale ale.

Clear copper with light yellow head from can. Malt, sugar, some fruit. Sweet with dishwashing fluid. Watery palate. I wonder if this batch is somehow tainted or if it’s the can.

Ar- citrusy hop aroma stands out, hints of wheat bread or toast, Ap- gold in color, pours a short dissipating head Fl- sweet malts present throughout, balanced with low levels of citrusy hops and hop bitterness. Mild bitter aftertaste Mf- med to full bodied, well carbonated, lively on the tongue, Ov- the definition of a craft beer staple, everything is done well, nothing really stands out, probably why this beer has been around for decades. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
