Beautiful pale ale. Good, hoppy flavor with nice citrus overtones. Creamy and delicious. Just a fine ale.

Too unbalanced to be a great beer. Good hop aroma and some hints of maltiness, but all the nuance is knocked out by the bitterness.

It looks like any other American Pale Ale, except there's no head retention or lacing. Decent quantities of hop aroma, flavor and bitterness make up for it.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2006 Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left nice sticky lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, toasted dough, light toffee malts, grass, and citrus fruits. Balanced taste of citrus fruits, caramel malts, and a bitter hoppy finish.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2003 I lIke it. Small to medium head, copper/gplden color with some floaties, creamy palate, light carbonation. Good hop bitterness, a good citrus favor. This and Boulevard Pale Ale taste quite similar to me.

One of my favorites. This is the american pale that others should be measured against. They have consistently put out a quality ale. I'm glad they have done such a good job with distribution. It is nice to fallback on an old, reliable brew. Nice floral notes, great malt and a zippy hoppiness that makes this pale very enjoyable.

The great safety net of beers. I call this one "default", this is were u go to when your at a restaurant & the other choices are bud, miller, corona, & the like. Many a meal has been saved for me by the SN pale. Nice color, smooth taste, & most importantly... loaded with hops.
