3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 11, 2006 Re-rated: I had to up my rating for Olí SNPA. Delicious, goes with hearty food, especially spicy. Say, carne asada burritos with ample lime. Definitely donít drink this with a dainty, or nuanced meal, as this Pale will totally annihilate the food and, frankly, embarrass it with a masterstroke of bold complexity. It smells like fruit and flowers and the first taste is like, "Whoa, hops." Then you actually taste the fruits and flowers, before a delicious wheatiness glides over the palette and prepares you for the next mouthfull. How do they make so much, and make it so delicious? At $7 a sixer at the local supermarket, Iíll take it.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2006 Bottle. Swirl and pour the yeast in from the bottom inch over the head. I once feared these yeast "floaties," but the free vitamins from SN are welcome and boost the flavor leaving an orange rind, and citrus/spruce finish.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2004 This really is the prefect example to what a pale ale should be. Its like dirnking a boque of flowers but yet plenty of hops to keep you on your toes. Flagship beer for SN is a winner

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2004 On draft at Wildflowers in Pennington. Pours a deep copper, but with little head or lace. Goes down nice with slight herby hop bite. Dry finish.
Rerated after drinking many at the Hilton at LAX, and after sampling the Lighthouse knockoff in Victoria, BC.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle pours light amber with a burley white head. † Lively carbonation, sticky lacing. † Mild hop & malt aroma. † Slight bitterness up front, but it immediately smooths out to a slightly peppery finish. † Slightly sweet malty aftertaste as well.   Good mouthfeel, solid flavor throughout.   Probably the best APA I've had.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Foggy amber-colored pale ale with a light, crisp taste. Satisfying head, especially for a pale ale. Thickly carbonated that makes it enjoyable to drink, but not too carbonated as to leave you with a stomach full of air. Starts off hoppy and slightly bitter, finishes with a faint spicy aftertaste.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Copper in colour. Aroma was hoppy, floral with quite a bit of citrus. Flavour was quite hoppy(grapefruit and flowers), oranges, nice mouthfeel. Slightly sweet up-front, medium body. Finished with a medium bitterness. This grew on me as I was drinking it. Very easy to drink.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice dark golden colour - don't think a pale ale could look any more appealing. Nice and hoppy nose, with lots of floral notes. Good 'mouthfeel' and level of bitterness make this an easy-drinkking ale that would be a great everyday beer.
