a beer Iíve had a million times but never rated. deep gold color, perfectly carbonated, nice head with good retention. aroma of cacade hops and light caramel malts. well balanced and easy to drink-malt and hop in excellent balance. great beer.

A good american pale ale, a bit hoppy, but that is ok, I wish it was a little more balanced, but its the top seller where I work, and Iíve never had a complaint about it in five years! People like it, I agree, its a solid beer if you like a bitter ale.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Most likely one of the best American Pale Ales and also a very popular one as well. Great bitter taste and smooth contrast of flavor. Golden in color, Nice head if pored correctly.

draft. light brown with very little head that fades fast. enjoyable nutty aroma. understated dark fruit taste, might be peach or grape? but not overly sweet. balances out with a nice hop flavor. finishes well.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: SEP 7, 2007 The first time I had this brew I thought it was terrible, but I was wrong. It is a classic American Pale Ale with a nice flavor. Had a nice head to it and all in all was very refreshing. I had drank this brew a few years ago and thought it too bitter. Well I was wrong this is really good.

Bottle - Pale amber in color with a medium off-white head. Decent lacing. Strong hop aroma and flavor with citus apparent (Cascades). Needs a bit more malt for the proper balance, but being a true hop head, I donít really mind too much. A good drinking beer; will buy it again and again...

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2006 RE-RATE: 11/18/04 Had this in the bottle at a Planned Parenthood fundraiser. Much, much better. Delightful cascade hop aroma and flavor. tasted like a homebrewed IPA tonight. Smooth and very drinkable. My score goes up, but I still maintain that something was awry at the old Crescent Moon when I first tried this.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2004 Ahhh, the stars are the hops here and they are intense. All the classic hops flavors are here, grassy, piney, and citrus. The aroma has a refreshing citrusy (yet sweet)zing with a flowery component. Nice mouth feel, smooth, slightly effervescent. There is a nice malty backbone to balance all the hops. Definitely one to savor and one of my most favorite readily accessible beers yet.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
IMHO a fine brew whose rep carries it further in the ratings than I place it. Expected hoppiness and dryer crisp IPA or should we say APA. Taste a tad rusty. Nice tint of orange yet pale of color.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This pale ale pours with an orange body topped by a mediumk thick head and some lacing. The arom ais slightly sweet, but mostly bitter and grassy with a slight citrus note. The flavor is bitter and hoppy with a grassy note, a little pine and some grapefruit. A slighty sweet malt note is in the background. Medium bodied, smooth and dry.
