Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Wow. This beer tasted great at 7 PM, 3AM and 11 AM. I had several during my stay in LAs Vegas, and even brought some home for the beer afficionados in Winnipeg. Highly recommended.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2007 Had to have this from the bottle as was on a walk at the time. Aroma is hoppy and slightly citrus. Taste is domminated by grapefruit, but in a particularly good, way. We dont get many pale ales over here, well american oneís anyway, but this was really nice, would like to try some more.

Light amber with white head and some lacing. Light malty and citrus aroma, with some yeast too. Clean citrus flavors with a crisp sharp bitterness. Some residual malty sweetness. Very refreshing. Had been years since I had this beer and was looking forward to drink it again now that Iíve started to rate them. I was a little disappointed, but this is still a good beer.

This microbrew isnít too hard to find so when I canít find anything else decent at my local bar Iíll get this. itís a bit too dry for my liking but usually this will be the best thing they have in the bar. I canít drink too many of them due to the strong aftertaste.

Pours light amber with a short off-white bubbly head. A faint grapefruit aroma. Very mild and smooth flavor. A decent summer beer. Mild hopping. Not bad.

nothing really stands out too much in this hoppy APA, but that is probably because it is so often immitated. obviously a great example of the style. and one of the better qualities o fthis beer in addition to the taste is that you can purchase it at almost any supermarket or even bars with so-so beer selection.

Pours gold with a small dissipating white head. Smells of flowery hops with some spiciness. Taste is bitter with some grapefruit elements.

White head on top of a goldish red body. Smell is rich, with a bit of spice, hops, grain, and fruit. Taste is smooth and dry, with definite hop presence and an underlying sweetness that doesnt take over. Very nice.

This is now in heavy distribution in Texas/New Mexico market. I love this beer. Bottle or tap (cared for tap is better). Creamy taste surrounds your tongue and skunky (in a good way) smell complemnts your palate in every sip. Donít gun this stuff like a Rolling Rock, but donít let it sit in your mouth too long. Drink it like water when youíve got a dry throat. Canít say enough about this affordable yet spectacular micro form California.
