3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 21, 2006 Pours to a golden copper colored body with a thin oily white head. The aroma is bready and light citrus. A touch too weak. The flavor is malty, breads, floral, and citrus hops. Mostly malty with a spicy hop kick. The palate is medium bodied with a light creaminess and carbonation. 3.3 total.
resampled at my companyís quarterly meeting on Jan 19th. The flavor was much nicer this time around. Palate too. Much better this time around.

A great American Pale Ale. One of the best readily available around the country. I can buy it at the local Publix grocery chain. Great aroma and flavor. Crisp clean taste with lots of hops and hints of fruit.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Amazing for a bottled beer. Itís better on tap like most everything...but hardly. Easily the best Pale Ale thatís readily available anywhere, and possibly the best one on the planet. Sierra Nevada canít be beat. Perfect weight, not to thin or thick. The color is kinda ugly...but thatís not so important in the longrun.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hands down the best pale ale that is available nationwide. This beer is a great experience to drink. While it is a nice beer that is full of flavor, itís not too filling to enjoy with a meal or with other drinks.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Slightly cloudy amber color with a tinge of orange. Fizzy medium head. Aroma was floral hops and spicy citrus. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Flavor is the same as the nose but with the hops bitterness making itself known, especially in the finish. Very good even if you do prefer darker beers.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Amber colour with hoppy nose, good smooth flavour wit lot of hop and sweetish fruit, bit sherberty. Fruits are citrus and berry. Lasting very hoppy finish. First bottle was delicious, but I had 2 more during the evening and I thought that it became a bit too sweet and slightly cloying

Thank you sierra for this pale ale! This really makes for an excellent, easy-drinking ale that doesnít warp the palate after a couple. Medium body plus 1 is the perfect ratio and this hoppy, floral sweetened ale achieves it. I went to a coors party, but they called and asked if I would like something else, I said get any pale ale if you can - they picked a good one!
