Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

the session beer of choice at the bar i frequent most.... tastes like, um, well, a simple APA. smooth, a tad sweet, with a some decent hoppiness. this was the beer i drank a couple of years ago when i thought i was being cool.

Wonderful bitter hoppy aroma. Slightly orange color, lightly clouded with sediment. Strong Cascade presence, backed up by a somewhat sweet maltiness. An excellent brew considering it can be found almost anywhere

Let me start out by saying this is a very enjoyable beer for multiple occasions. A little mild in the hop and malt aroma with a hint of pine. Poured light and clear with a clear copper color and a medium head. Flavor was balanced and very easy to drink. Mild hop malt and a touch of citrus. Palate was very smooth. A very nice American Pale Ale. I only wish it had a little more hop, pine flavor.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2007 Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was my original standard against which I judged all other American Pales and IPAs. After they started filtering it, that changed. From the initial mildly bitter bite, which is well balanced with a slight maltiness, to the outstanding aromatic finishing, this beer is simply outstanding. I do miss the sediment of the old days, though....

My first Pale Ale. Sierra has an unforgetable flavor that makes your mouth water for more

Nice smell of hops. Very strong rich tasting hops, nice and bitter. Not too exciting, but a great APA.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2005 With the split into the draft and bottled versions, I am making a new rating. Bright orange body with a thin white head. The aroma is dark bread with a little bit of oranges and and vanilla. The taste is orange peels, bread crust and some spicy black pepper in the finish. Crisp and refreshing.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2003 Pours an amber color, with a good head that can last. Good bitter hops flavor and other flowery aromas. This beer is damn good and readily available in every grocery and good bar in my town. damn good beer, I had to say it again!!!!!!!
