Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

this is a perfect example of a quality apa. pours a light copper color with a slightly off white. the hop flavor is perfect. a little bit floral, a little bit citrusy, and a very nice bitterness to it.

Had from bottle. Pours golden-amber with a slight, quickly dissipating head. I might be a little too used to the Torpedo, so the hops are a bit too disguised within the malts in this finely balanced pale ale. Aroma of hops, citrus, and sugars. Flavors are a nice balance of hops and malts. I have to just remind myself that this is a pale ale, and not an IPA or an extra IPA. It’s supposed to be balanced, not too hoppy, and not too bitter. In that case, Sierra Nevada does a great job here. Re-rate: 3.6

Poured with a slight head and a yellow-orange coloring. Head is slight and dissapates quickly. Taste is hoppy with a good amount of malts. A very reliable tasting beer, but not my favorite pale. Original Rating: 3.2

I love this macro-Pale Ale. Full flavored, malty and very hoppy in aroma and taste. A very refreshing beer.

This was one of my first "specialty" beers I tried. I got a 6 pack I'd say about 10 years or so ago, mostly because I liked the artwork on the package. I was surprized by the flavor & aromas of this fine beer. It poured a deep straw color, lots of tiny bubbles rising as it was drank. Excellent,off-white,long lasting head on it also. The head lasted to the end of the glass. Nice hops aroma, not too strong, just right for me. Deep malty flavor, lots of complexity to this beer. The flavors just keep coming. If there was ever a great Spring/Summer ale, this is one of them. I like to try different beers from all over the world, but I keep coming back to this one because I like it so much. I always have at least a 12 pack on hand for when friends drop by to say "Hello". I highly recommend trying this beer, if you haven't done so already. It is worth every effort to seek it out & purchase it.

One of the true standards. Great crisp hoppiness that is just about perfectly balanced. Never disappointed by this one. Goes with just about any food too.

This pale ale is the color of dark urine. It tastes very bitter, but after a few sips it's not so bad.

burnt orange colour, the most lucious floral scent that mixes quite well with the taste and adds to the complexity of the beer.

This is the highest rated beer I have rated thus far. Head quickly disappates. Lighter in color than I would expect for a pale ale. Nothing notable about the smell. Taste is more complex than other pales I have tasted. Bitter and sweet.
