An American classic, my first "real" beer I remember drinking years ago. Fresh, hops, citrus. A beer to go to if you can’t make up your mind and want something solid.

How is this the first time I’ve rated this? This is probably the most readily available craft beer where I live, so I drink a lot of it. Big hops flavor, a mix of citrus and resin. Nice finish, mildy sweet. But you no doubt know what it tastes like, What makes this beer a marvel is that it is available at local gas stations and mega-marts and is always the same dependably high quality.

Argueably the best pale ale out there. Excellent use of hops. Very consistant taste. A great beer for every occasion.

Ah yes...the classic pale. This beer has become standard for the west coast pale ale style. It’s been a while since I had one and it tasted better before. It is very drinkable but of course, better on tap. It kicks the pants off of so many breweries but yet at the same time I could imagine this beer with a little more oomph if ya know what I mean. The cascade hops come through on the aroma with funky citrus hints. Clarity is not an issue with this ale. I could shave in the mirror while looking through a glass of Sierra Nevada Pale. Okay palate, well balance between hop dryness and malty sweetness but again, a little more of both would do this beer a favor. A faithful stand-by beer and this week, on sale!!

Great in bottles, even better on tap. This is an old reliable Pale Ale that tastes especially good on a hot summer day.

I really like Sierra Nevada. The Pale Ale was the 1st micro-brew I ever tried. I still order it, as long as it is on tap. GOOD beer.

Updated: Copper gold copper, huge white creamy head, which left an inch high dollop in the bottom of the glass when I had finished. Light malty and musty aroma, with some fruitiness and a tingle of citric hops. Flavor was light and balanced, with a touch of light fruity malt and tingly hops. Creamy malt palate. Not as great as I remember it, but still a pretty good beer, and one of the best with such a wide distribution.
