Great Pale Ale with a fine amber color. It has a rich, dry and fruity aroma with a good touch of noble malt and fine hops. The taste is very maltlike and has a great boost of hops in the end.In the afthertaste there is fine bitterness.

Not being a fan of pale ales, I was surprised and pleased with Sierra Nevada. Very good Brewery.

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2006 On first taste the bitterness came out strong, but then settled into a nice refreshing slightly fruity taste. A good hot summer day beer. This is great on tap. one of my favorite easy to find beers.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2008 Bottled. Rusty orange colour, thin disapparing head. Gentle carbonation so surprisingly fizzy in the mouth. Hints of watery fruit, crisp and malty taste.

I haven’t yet had many pale ales, but I have to say this was suprisingly tasty. I was expecting more bitterness. I noticed the fruitiness, but only slightly. Definitely will return to this beer in the future.

sort of the de facto standard for an APA. slightly weak aroma of hops and some malt, but plenty of bitterness that tastes mostly like cascades and a solid malt backbone. this beer is (and should be) the basis for all american pale ales.

Dark golden in color with little head. Has a fruity taste, but not too fruity. It compliments its fruit flavor with a nice bitterness. Has a good aftertaste that leaves you wanting another drink. All and all a solid beer.

Pretty good pale ale. Didn’t strike me as one of the best, but it was solid. Being as widely available as it is I guess it was better then i expected it to be. Will purchase when in need of a descent pale ale with enough time to get to my local grocer, otherwise will probably head to binny’s or sams for something a little bolder.

One of my favorites, second only to Boulevard’s Pale Ale for Pale Ales. Very good.
