Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Pours golden with off-white medium head. Nose is floral hops. Taste is well balanced but predominately hops, with an evergreen (juniper) flavor as well. Finishes with a refreshing bitter hops aftertaste. Not particularly complex but excellent as a pale example.

The first Pale I ever tried, and one of my standby’s. Great hop flavor that you just gotta love with just enough malts to balance things out.

Dusky and golden with a fully diminishing head. Hoppy aromas and a full palate keep this pale ale interesting throughout the tasting. A little bit of a sour finish preceded by ginger and more hops, but this was a better pale ale than I expected, and more complex. Still, there was a faint old shoe leather flavor in there somewhere.

Quality brew here, especially for something so widely distributed. Some people noted that the head was very thin, but on mine at least it was a full/foamy head and thats with a decent pour.Crisp taste that you would expect from reading the label and a wonderful, faint floral aroma. Slight aftertaste but nothing that’s going to keep me away from this one...Quality brew.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2004 Bottled. Charneol colour, not much of foam. Fresh, flowery, very rich hoparoma, almost overhopped but that’s what I love. Wonderful flavour with a fat, chewy, herbal hoppiness and some grassy undertone. Flowery all along with a bitter finish.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2005 12oz. Golden and hazy with a medium off-white head and generous lace. Musky leather and a honeyed malt profile hedge out the aroma. Body is medium, lightly foamy carb and a pleasant finish. Flavor is dominated by hops. Rather bitter for a PA, but quite refreshing. Doesn’t keep well in the fridge, so don’t let it sit long. T_T

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2004 Nice deep golden color, combined with large head that laces well. Aroma is mostly hoppy/pine-like notes. bottle conditioning leaves the beer just slightly hazy. First taste is malty, then the hoppy flavors come through, and finally a slightly toasted flavor on the back of the tongue.

Out of the bottle. Nice hop flavor with a slight citrus. Nice availability too, good alternative to the usual beers

Bottle. Again the typical US hoppy, citrus, piney flavour. Hint of grapefruit. A nice brew, an excellent easily available example of the American Pale Ale style.
