Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a delightful example of the classic pale ale style. It has a deep amber color and a exceptionally full-bodied, complex character. The fragrant bouquet and spicy flavor are the results of the generous use of the best Cascade hops.<P> Bottle Conditioned.

Not much to be said that hasnít been said already. Might have the best aftertaste of any beer Iíve tried.

This is the one that set off the hop crazy pale ale race. Hops hops hops. Not a fan of the hop it till it smells like a Humboldt forest in fall but you got to give them credit for being among the first.

2001:The best American Pale Ale? I donít know, but there certainly arenít many that are better. Beautiful clear, deep amber color -- gemlike, almost, with a wisp of foam that stays with it to the bottom of the glass (I had this on tap, by the way). Floral, hoppy aroma that could be a bit stronger; beautifully balanced hop/sweet/grain flavor with a finish just a bit on the edgy side for me. Very solid brew, overall. Been a while since Iíve had the porter & stout, so off I go... July 2002: holds up surprisingly well after a couple hundred more beers tried; but I just canít give it that ígemlikeí point on appearance, and I think overall its perhaps a little less character-full than a great beer should be. Quite good, for sure, but there are some better.

Iím not a big fan of pale ales at all, but if you have to go with one, this is certainly one of if not the best. Very nice happoy flavor. If youíre a fan of pale ales and you havenít tried this yet.....DO.

Again, another high alcohol content beer, and in my books, thats all that matters. Idealy, I would be drunk 24/7, and this beer helps me do just that. I recommend this buy.

The hoppiness is what sets the Sierra Nevada Pale apart from other pale ales. This is, in my opinion, one of the best pale ales offered on the West coast and certainly the Northwest. The cascade hops are exremely prevelant and compliment the grains well. I look for rich beers regardless of what Iím drinking so I may be a bit biased, but this is an excellent beer.

I still prefer Summit to this, but thatís probably because the Summit i get here in Minnesota is fresher than the Sierra Nevada. With Summitís supremacy here, will I ever have this beer on tap? Nice hoppy aroma, hoppy taste, and crisp finish. looking forward to trying the tap version some time.

Faint hop nose and light gold color that is inviting. Clear, crisp hoppiness atop a light woody malt flavor. Full mouthed with an edge to it. Well-balanced. This is a fantastic beer.

Hoppy with a hint of lemon nose. Light yellow with no head. Very hoppy. Fullmouth taste with a kick at the end. Good balanced beer!
